Narcotic opens with a vivid clash of Sicilian lemon, citron, floral notes, coconut rum, belladonna and poppy flower. The brightness of the citrus is quickly tempered by the narcotic sweetness of rum, while the belladonna lends an air of danger right from the start.
The heart becomes denser, with tonka bean, raspberry and dark chocolate blended against saffron, tobacco, dates and labdanum. Ylang-ylang, magnolia and peyote heighten the resinous, contemplative feel, making the composition seem almost otherworldly.
