  A bold and unconventional scent, very much in the classic designer school tradition. It captures the entire spectrum of the men’s fragrance market from the 1950s to today. You can really feel those spices and depth characteristic of the era. Upon first spray, it’s like a blinding, sharp, luminous pomegranate, filling the nose with dry lime alongside that sparkling touch of patchouli. But beware of thinking it’s just patchouli, as the carnal quality of the oud and the pointed edge of the coriander create a completely different sensation. After 15 minutes, nothing fresh remains; it’s hard to detect the top notes at all. What lingers is that warm tobacco facet, the sweet note of the oud, and those floral details that remind me of old-school perfumes, feeling powdery yet powerful. I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys scents like those Chanel used to craft decades ago. Watch out for the dry-down, because there are no herbs or woods here to overwhelm. I wouldn’t wear something like this in my 20s for anything, but the artistry and appreciation for the beginnings of that men’s market are undeniable.
