The pyramid is generous and carefully layered, moving from ozonic top notes to a floral heart and an almost smoky, resinous base.
The opening accord of Onyx is immediately striking: ozone, aldehydes, oud, saffron and clove combine into a bright, piquant start. There is an unusual transparency here, thanks to the aldehydes and fresh notes.
In the middle, lily of the valley, woody nuances, raspberry, geranium, tuberose, jasmine, amber, rose and tea create a softly radiant floral heart. This is the section that lends the fragrance a gentle, elegant rhythm.
