About Oro
Oro by Ateneo dell'Olfatto: A Woody Oriental Scent
Oro is a scent that defies convention, introduced in 2022 by Ateneo dell'Olfatto. Created by Giulia Brigliadori and Fabio Bernardi, it's a unisex woody oriental with a beautifully judged balance of light and shade.
The fragrance kicks off with a citrus zing, melts into a sweet floral heart, and ends on a warm, resinous base. It's an olfactory journey well worth taking.
At the top, Oro brings a smile with grapefruit, tangerine, bergamot, and lime. These citrus notes give an opening that's fizzing and fresh, with just enough sparkle to get noticed.
The heart is a cosy, powdery affair, where Madagascan vanilla is entwined with ylang-ylang, iris, and wintersweet. It's an elegant sweetness, with a hint of yellow floral that gives the perfume a distinctive personality.
The base is all about structure: sandalwood and cedar, with patchouli, resins, amber, and birch for extra warmth. This balsamic, ambery foundation makes the perfume linger nicely, leaving a smooth sillage that's never intrusive.
Oro's accords are at once citrusy, woody, ambered, and sweet, with powdery and balsamic undertones. The patchouli and amber add an oriental depth, while vanilla and iris keep things refined.
It's a versatile perfume that reveals different faces from one wearing to the next. Equally at home at a formal dinner or a weekend walk, Oro earns its place as a modern classic in the making.
Those who appreciate a fragrance with character, enjoy citrus openness combined with woody sweetness, and who are drawn to contemporary orientals.
Oro is a suave and confident woody oriental that manages to feel both fresh and enveloping. A scent that leaves an impression and invites repeat wearings.
