Oud Al Sahraa by Parfums Berdoues is an oriental woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2015, this composition was created by perfumer Christian Vermorel. The top note features the freshness of Italian mandarin, which gives way to the heart note of myrrh, before settling into the warm and enveloping base note of oud wood.

I was left with my brain on standby, wondering if something else would happen. Well, it has calmed down now and I can write. It’s a very sparkly opening that almost smells of liquorice, then it seems like it might turn synthetic, but no—it retreats into myrrh, lots of gummy myrrh with smoky and slightly astringent notes. On my skin, it’s not as ambered as one might expect; something spicy prevents it from settling down comfortably, but it fits. More in the oud, I’d say this perfume is centred on a young, cheerful, dancing myrrh. A very kind and watery oud. In the end, it becomes rounder but remains almost clean. Pleasant and indifferent.
