It’s rare but very good. It’s different, neither classic nor casual. People always asked what it contained; nobody knew who Starck was, but people looked and found something unique: a soft powder, a sweetness that isn’t sweetness, musky and different, with a trail. The bottle is a work of art, and the contents too.
A rare perfume that I came to understand over time… I like it very much.
I just received the bottle and couldn’t wait to try it. It smells very citrusy and musky to me; I know it doesn’t have citrus, but I perceive it that way. To be honest, it disappointed me; I expected something more potent and heavily powdery, like Samsara which I adore. But well, we’ll have to give it a chance. If not, bye-bye baby!
I love it! Love at first sniff, I bought it blindly based on reviews and Instagram. It’s rare, soft, powdery with a clean base that gives a citrus idea without actually being citrus. Hard to describe, it smells just like ‘silk skin’. Performance is low, it stays close to the skin but lasts hours and marks clothes and pillows. I use it for something soft, innocent, intimate and tranquil. 100% for me. It doesn’t resemble anything else, how hard it is to smell original these days!
Simple yet complex. It’s a fuzzy cleanliness, a fresh mist in the powdery world. I found it ridiculously cheap, less than 20 euros for 90ml. Although it’s usually warm, this one conveys freshness, a silky second skin. Woody nuances like fir in a snowy forest, dry and elegant. I don’t detect the animalic side, but I love that unisex minimalism, almost a realistic robot. Thanks to Ziggy, it’s one of my favourites. Watch out for STARCK.
It’s simple yet complex. Defining clean perfumes is tricky; here it’s a blurred cleanliness, a fresh mist between powdery notes. Worth it—I found it cheap, around 20 euros for 90ml. I usually favour warm powdery scents, but this conveys freshness, ideal for both cold and warm climates. As a skin scent, it gives a silky second-skin effect. It has woody nuances, a spicy hint like fir in a snow-covered forest, working well with that dry, elegant powder. I don’t detect any animalic notes, though I’d love to read interpretations of those accords. I can imagine it on many people; I love that unisex touch. Although it might seem unusual, those seeking originality in simplicity will adore it—something minimalist, almost like a realistic and fascinating robot. I discovered it thanks to Ziggy, and it’s one of my favourite minimalists. I’ll keep an eye on STARCK.
I picked it up on offer thinking it would be a bargain because it’s by Ropion, but it was a disappointment. The trail and longevity are scarce: about 3 hours on the skin. It smells powdery with a soft woody-musky base, ideal for home after a shower. It reminded me of the discontinued Love Chloé, which lasted 8 hours, but this Peau de Soir fades quickly.
One of those rare ones that doesn’t smell like anything known: a powdery, white musk that’s super pleasant, like freshly ironed cotton sheets after a bath with scented salts. It gives a sense of cleanliness, similar to L’Homme Prada L’eau. Moderate trail but very long-lasting, about 8 hours, perfect for mornings or before bed. Very spring-like.
