Descripción
Pegasus Exclusif by Parfums de Marly is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2020, this composition was created by perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds cardamom, heliotrope, pink pepper and bergamot; the heart reveals bitter almond, lavender, geranium and jasmine; while the base settles on vanilla, guaiac wood, oud, sandalwood and amber.

The opening reminds me of Pegasus but fresher; the heliotrope works brilliantly with the almond, there’s cardamom and a spicy touch. The distinction between notes is very clean, creating a fresh almond scent with a hint of dissonance. I think it’s shy on projection, about a metre away. It reminds me of a designer fragrance, not what you’d expect from a niche at that price. A downside is that the cardamom stands out: good quality but nothing special. The vanilla is also noticeable, pleasant. After 4 hours the cardamom fades, leaving a sweet, creamy base of amber and sandalwood. Lasts around 7 hours. For those who enjoy designer-style scents with an extra quality kick, it’s not bad, usable and pleasant. Scent: 6.6/10, Longevity: 5.9/10, Projection: 5.6/10, Emotional Impact: No, Originality: 6/10, Price: 255€/125ml, Recommended: Moderate (if you’re a fan of Marly’s premium designer style).
After several days of use, I now have a clear opinion. For those who know Pegasus, this is its cousin: a feminine opening that quickly shifts to something less loud, more woody and dark. It begins with cardamom, heliotrope, bergamot and bitter almond; then vanilla, oud, sandalwood and amber enter with a touch of clean lavender, almost talc-like. For me, it’s better than its older brother, but the trail and longevity are moderate. I like it, it’s elegant, but for the price I expected more. It’s not bad, it beats many designer scents, but I’d wish it lasted a week. Ideal for cool climates, evening wear, or with elegant attire. Scent: 9/10, Trail: 7/10, Longevity: 6.5/10, Projection: 6.5/10.
Good fragrance, though it doesn’t quite win me over. I’d summarise it as vanilla, almond, and dark due to the oud. The quality is evident and, in my opinion, it’s ideal for mature men over 35. Suitable only for cold days or nights. It’s not the best from the brand, so I’d only buy it to complete the collection or on offer. Lasts over 8 hours and projects well for 1.5 hours. Rating: 8.5/10.
I own it, it’s the typical fragrance with personality and character. It’s my first PDM and the one I’ve enjoyed the most. I love its particular scent and see it as perfect for making an impression anywhere.

I own the regular Pegasus and it’s more potent; I just tried this one and it was almost nothing at first, but after a week I’m starting to notice it. I can’t quite define it, but it lasted 4 hours on skin and over 8 on clothes if I’m moving around. Hoping it improves with age. Smells rich, elegant, with almond and leather notes. Ideal for smart-casual occasions. If you can, smell it before buying, because it’s a pleasure.
It caught me off guard; it starts floral then transforms into something sweet and woody.
Bought it after hesitating between this and Layton on my girlfriend’s advice. Smells fantastic and evolves beautifully over time, though I feel the trail is a bit thin for the price. Lasts well for 2-3 hours before settling into a more personal halo. I’ve loved it so much that I now want to try Layton Exclusif; both options seem fresher for younger people compared to other fragrances from the brand.
