The perfume that transports me back to my childhood! I found a tiny presentation with just a few drops tucked away in the drawer of an old dressing table in my home, which must have been stored for at least 18 years and… surprise! The fragrance remained intact. Olfactorily, it’s a floral-green aldehydic scent, surely containing lily of the valley, but above all the softness and charm of peonies and roses. I spent my life searching for something similar; Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet reminds me of it a bit, but it lacks that meadow freshness that Pivoine has. For being so subtle, it’s like the first day of spring with the morning dew. Magical and unique! Plus, its beautiful bottle with a peony as a cap <3. Nothing like Pivoine's Pur Desir, which smelled like soap.
My sister used to sell Yves Rocher in the 90s when it was just entering Mexico via catalogue. When she found out I wore Anais Anais, she suggested this one, and, naturally, I loved it. It’s not the same, but they share that floral and fresh vibe; although Pivoine is a bit more herbal, both have a wonderful touch of innocence. Verdict: I would buy it again.
Another sadly discontinued classic from Yves Rocher. A sweet little peony scent that matches its bottle perfectly. I still keep a miniature of it. I can’t understand why they don’t reissue their great classics; surely they would have sold like hot cakes.
My first perfume was a DIY project when I was 11, and that’s when my downfall began. It was delicate, talc-scented, and incredibly elegant—a truly precious jewel. I don’t know what they’re waiting for to bring these pearls back on sale.
