  • A softened version of the classic Miyake with a slightly more marked floral touch. Peony tenderness in the Miyake style, with that Oriental minimalist softness and subtlety, wearable and easy to wear.

  • A softer take on the classic Miyake, with a delicate floral touch. It has that peony tenderness I adore, wrapped in a minimalist oriental softness that’s easy to wear and very subtle.

  • I don’t know what Issey Miyake does with their perfumes. Although a priori they are simple creations like this, which basically combines peony with fruity touches, especially pear and some raspberry, they manage to achieve something almost ethereal. Super feminine and versatile, but at the same time elegant. Clean enough but sweet enough. It is an intimate aroma with a duration of about 4-5 hours on my skin. In summary, a super simple peony aroma but very well constructed.

  • Exquisite. I just tried it on a sample and I think I will buy it when my beloved Idole by Lancôme or Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel runs out. It is of that style: fresh floral, sweet and elegant. It reminds me of Chloé EDP, only that I see Chloé as more for a girl aged 18 to 25, very ‘dad’s little girl’ who receives everything and gets her first car at 18, haha… This one by Issey Miyake is much more elegant and formal, for a woman over 30 who works and buys it for herself without waiting for gifts. Sparkly, feminine and delicate. Very rich.

What a beautiful fragrance! It makes me happy and transports me to a lovely place. The peony brings joy, while the fruit adds a natural sparkle, nothing synthetic. It’s not invasive; you notice it with movement, and it lasts about eight hours on me. It’s gorgeous: sweet and floral without being cloying, with a fresh fruity note and a sensual base, perhaps sandalwood, that makes it unique.

What a gorgeous fragrance. The aromas generate emotions in me; the peony alone gives me joy and takes me to a happy place. This perfume takes me to a quiet and cheerful place. The fruit makes it sparkly, but without it looking synthetic. It is not invasive, but it is noticeable with movement and lasts about 8 hours on me. It is lovely: feminine, sweet and floral without being cloying, a sweet fresh fruit with the flower in the right measure. It has a sensual undertone, perhaps the sandalwood, which makes it unique.

What a lovely scent 😍. The peony and sandalwood give it a very tender, cosy feel. It doesn’t bother anyone; it’s very pleasant and agreeable. I’ve loved it, especially since the first version didn’t quite convince me.

What a beautiful fragrance. The peony and sandalwood give it a tender and cosy air. With this, it doesn’t bother anyone; it is very pleasant and agreeable. Although it is an EDT Intense as the packaging says, I have liked it a lot, especially compared to the first version which didn’t convince me.

Without a doubt, the peony is the star. I detect a candied pear and a touch of raspberry that fit perfectly. The sandalwood gives everything a velvet softness. It is intense; I think it could result in being a bit heavy. Edit: more than 24 hours after trying it, the jacket I was wearing still smells strong (and I didn’t spray it on the fabric, only on the skin).

  • I would love to own it. The peony is what stands out the most, giving it a clean and fresh air. It has a certain resemblance to Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet.

What a lovely perfume. It is feminine, fruity and luminous. It truly shines on warm, humid days, especially if it’s raining. It is an EDT Intense and it delivers on its promise. A total beauty.

  • L’Eau d’Issey Pivoine is a fragrance of contrasts: I adore the notes separately, but together they overwhelm me. The peony comes out strong with a watery touch that almost drowns the pear, which promised juicy freshness but ends up barely hinted at. That floral weight gives me a sense of heaviness, with a slight dizziness and a burning sensation at the back of the throat, as if the perfume leaves no room to breathe. It’s elegant and well-made, but I appreciate it more from a distance than on my skin.

  • L’Eau d’Issey Pivoine is a curious contrast: I adore the individual notes, but together they give me a bit of a whiplash. The peony comes out aquatic and almost overwhelming, pushing the pear, which promised freshness, into the background. That floral charge feels a bit heavy and leaves a burning sensation in my throat, as if it won’t let me breathe. It is elegant and well-made, but I prefer it from a distance rather than on the skin.
