  • Its vanilla touch stands out, probably along with white amber, but with a freshness that makes it ideal for daytime and daily wear, both outdoors and indoors. It has a good presence without being intrusive; it’s a scent that evokes the late 80s and 90s, a decent investment for 30ml.

  • Upon applying it to the skin, the first thing you smell is a potent spiced sandalwood that then softens into a natural vanilla, nothing cloying, more like raw bean. As they say in English, it’s the vanilla for those who don’t like vanillas. It suits me brilliantly for autumn and winter thanks to that warmth and spicy touch, though lovers of strong oriental perfumes might find it more of a spring scent. The trail is moderate but lasts a long time. I bought it blind and it’s not bad, but it doesn’t enchant me. I’ll use it from October, but I don’t think I’ll repeat it. From this range, I certainly stick with the fresh and summery DKNY Pure Verbena, which I’ll never tire of.

A delightful perfume; it hurts that they’ve discontinued it. It’s elegant, sweet without being cloying, and has a sillage that you simply can’t find anymore.

It’s an olfactory delight; it hurts that they’ve stopped manufacturing it. It’s elegant, sweet without being cloying, and has a longevity that you simply can’t find anymore.

I absolutely love this fragrance; I still have a bottle I use sparingly because I can’t find it anywhere else.

  • What a wonderfully feminine, delicate, and warm scent! I picked it up in New York 12 years ago and still have 15ml left in the original bottle… I don’t want to use it up, but I tried it today and it has changed a little… Anyway, I’ve felt it again because I bought Adolfo Domínguez’s Jasmin Tonka and thought: ‘it reminds me of Pure A Drop of Vanilla’. They share notes, so Jasmin Tonka will become my dupe.
