  I had never heard of this brand and ventured to buy it at the price without knowing previous reviews. The bottle has an aggressive urban aesthetic or that of a mad haute couture designer; it made me presage a strange fragrance or one for a streetwise young girl. It’s very heavy and the crescent moon design makes it uncomfortable, difficult to use when there’s little left. The fragrance is interesting and has a strong presence: a floral-fruity opening that then settles purely floral. It makes itself felt; you have to apply very little to avoid being intrusive. It has good sillage and longevity; if it lands on clothes, it smells until you wash them. I don’t see it as suitable for young people or warm weather; I started wearing it in the heat and stopped until temperatures dropped, because it has nothing fresh about it. The name doesn’t lie: ‘Ru Serious’. I clarify that I’ve received many compliments; people say it smells very good, clean, even when I can no longer detect it. The cap seems to be pressed on and is hard to open; in the end, the gold peels off because it rubs too much.

The scent is interesting and has a strong presence: a fruity-floral opening that settles into a purely floral dry-down. It projects well, so you only need a tiny amount to avoid being intrusive. It has good sillage and longevity; if it lands on your clothes, it lasts until you wash them. I don’t see it as suitable for young people or warm weather; I started wearing it in the heat and stopped once the temperatures dropped because it has nothing fresh about it. The name doesn’t lie: ‘Ru Serious’. To clarify, I’ve received many compliments; people say it smells very good, clean, even when I can no longer detect it myself. The cap seems to be pressed on and is hard to open; in the end, the gold plating starts flaking off because it rubs too much.

  I gifted this to my girlfriend and it looks spectacular. I picked it up on offer here in Chile. Although they say it’s for winter evenings, I wear it in summer during the day without it being cloying; it’s very light and wearable, with a lovely and charming scent.

  I bought it blindly because people recommended it so highly. Oh my goodness, what a sexy fragrance. The opening is strong and you can detect the jasmine, apple, and roses, but here the woody, earthy, and boozy notes make it feel hard and serious, very potent and with personality. After five hours, my nose detects a smell of cigarette smoke, smoky vapours, and vanilla; I don’t know why, but that’s what I perceive.
