REVOLT by EYS is an Oriental Woody creation for women and men, contrasting radiant fruit and flowers with a substantial base of woods, amber and musk.
Pear, apple and rose water open the composition, seasoned with bitter almond, cinnamon, pink pepper and incense — crisp at first, then warmly spiced with a whisper of smoke.
The opening is crisp and juicy, pear and apple lifted by rose water. Bitter almond lends a faintly nutty depth, cinnamon and pink pepper supply gentle warmth, and incense adds a fine resinous haze.
At the heart, rose and sambac jasmine take the lead, framed by saffron, osmanthus and cedar. The floral core is full and velvety, saffron lends glow, osmanthus a hint of apricot sweetness, and cedar a dry, elegant backbone.
Beneath lies sandalwood, Akigalawood, Georgywood, cypriol and oud wood, enriched with ambrette, ambergris, labdanum, musk and vanilla. The base is woody and ambery, at once dry, balsamic and cosily sweet.
Through its development the fragrance remains woody and amber-centred, with fruity, warm-spicy and floral nuances. Oud is kept smooth rather than stark, musky and powdery tones soften the rose, and vanilla lends a rounded close.
The progression moves from fresh-spiced to floral before settling into creamy wood and sweet amber, retaining a trace of its initial brightness.
