About Rosewood
Rosewood by Majestic Perfumes: A Rose Wrapped in Musk and Wood
With Rosewood, Majestic Perfumes opens a new olfactory chapter: a unisex perfume arriving in 2026 as part of the woody floral musk family. The name conjures the warmth of timber, yet the scent itself travels much further.
The pyramid starts with a luminous opening of aldehydes, artemisia and violet before moving into a heart of rose, leather and patchouli. It is a composition built on contrasts: light and shadow, softness and strength.
Rosewood announces itself with an aldehydic, powdery texture. Violet brings that dusted, almost vintage feel, linking straight into the rose at the heart, while artemisia adds a herbaceous, mildly bitter touch that stops the blend from drifting into sweetness.
Rose does not stand alone in the heart. Leather wraps it in a dry, gently smoky embrace, and patchouli lends an earthy richness. What emerges is a darker, polished rose, far from conventional bouquets and much closer to a contemporary, reflective mood.
The base—musk, moss and ambergris—holds everything together with a soft, animalic warmth. Musk gives skin-hugging softness, moss contributes a green woodland tone, and ambergris leaves a faint saline shimmer in the drydown. That final phase is almost mineral, quietly addictive.
Majestic Perfumes has created a rounded fragrance with moderate but persistent sillage. Neither loud nor cloying, Rosewood balances its floral, earthy and musky elements so well that it slips easily from a working day into an evening out.
This is for those who enjoy assertive unisex perfumes, who like their roses treated in a modern way, and who appreciate musky, mossy bases. It will also charm anyone who favours elegant scents with a slightly veiled character and no shouting for attention.
Rosewood is a quietly confident surprise: it takes a timeless flower and transforms it into something musky, earthy and bright at the same time. A fragrance that begs to be revisited and, from its 2026 debut, already seems destined for the permanent collection at Majestic Perfumes.
