This version of Lolita is softer than the EDP, which was the one I actually wanted. At first, it feels very spicy, I think due to the pepper note, and a little acidic, before turning into something sweet, slightly floral, feminine, warm, with musk; I don’t dislike it. I would have liked it to last longer on the skin; I’ve had to reapply it, approximately 4 to 5 hours. It seems suitable for daily, daytime use; I don’t think you’d offend any noses with it. To my taste, it’s comfortable.
I bought the EDT out of fear that it might be too strong; a blunder, because unfortunately, it doesn’t last long and it’s a charming, original, sparkling scent. It invites joy and getting active. It’s funny how at first it seems as if you’ve been dusted with pepper and you almost feel like sneezing, but afterwards, once it settles, it leaves a scent that is both spicy and sweet, very welcoming and warm, reminiscent of spice bread, ginger cookies, or natural spice soaps from herbalists. I agree it’s more of a daytime fragrance. As a personal fragrance, it’s very pretty, as not many people use it and there aren’t many perfumes that resemble it much. A girl like these who are rated as ‘earthquakes’, extroverted, a joker… it would suit her perfectly.
I received the EDT version by mistake, as I had ordered the EDP. I must say I liked the scent very much; it’s very rich, and the pepper is quite noticeable. If you apply too much, it can be overwhelming to the nose, but if you don’t apply much, in my case, I feel like I’m not smelling anything. On my skin, it had good projection for the first two hours, then became very subtle and I had to reapply; it regained strength for a couple of hours and then nothing. It’s a real shame, but well. In the future, I plan to buy the EDP version, but for now, I’ll stick with this.
I bought it blindly at an outlet because they said it was no longer on the market and it was worth having. I was hesitant after trying Lolita Lempicka (the purple apple), which was too much for me, but this is totally different and made me close my eyes in enjoyment the moment I applied it to my wrist. It’s a unique scent; I’d say unisex at first, then more feminine and subtle. I’m fascinated; it’s exquisite, not cloying, and I can’t stop smelling my wrist. I feel it’s sophisticated and I love that it’s not that typical sweet feminine fragrance; it’s sparkling and distinctive, fitting neither sweet nor citrus. It reminds me of some men’s aftershaves; it must be that musk they mention, a warm scent with musk as defined. I feel fortunate to be able to wear it. I didn’t find it spicy; I think the perfume should be spicier, but I’m looking forward to trying it because I picked it up at a good price, and after sampling this delight, I couldn’t resist and went for the full bottle.
Rich, addictive… soft yet present… it captivates me.
It reminds me of Rose Cabotine due to that pink pepper note, with soft projection and medium longevity of 4 to 6 hours. It’s not spectacular, but it smells great for everyday wear without being annoying or intrusive. It has an elegant, floral, and clean touch. I picked it up at an excellent price, so I applied it generously. Rose Cabotine is stronger and cheaper than Lolita, but Gres is the synthetic side, whereas Lolita is the fine, natural, and elegant side. Gres comes in at around $20 for 100ml, while Lolita hovers around $60 for the same size.
The EDT is far more wearable than the EDP, which can feel too heavy for some due to the pepper and resin notes. It shares the same DNA and smells identical, yet it’s softer with a rich citrus touch that lasts all day. Perfect for summer, suitable for both day and night. I absolutely adore this EDT; it’s simply beautiful. Unfortunately, like 90% of Lolitas, it’s already discontinued, making it hard to find and often sold at a premium. If I can track down another bottle at a fair price, I’ll definitely buy it.
The EDT is far more wearable than the EDP, where the pepper and resins are intense and can feel heavy. It shares the same olfactive DNA but is softer, with a rich citrus note that lasts all day. Perfect for summer, day or night. I prefer it for its richness. Unfortunately, like 90% of the Lolitas, it’s discontinued, hard to find, and the prices are high, but if I can get another bottle at a good price, I’ll buy it without hesitation.
