It is an especially pleasant perfume due to the agarwood saffron leather suede and sandalwood notes with adequate fixation on the skin especially if you have changeable skin. At the beginning I notice the vanilla and then the tobacco afterwards the leather and saffron. On the skin it leaves a permanent scent that lasts hours and is slightly addictive. I like to use it daily after a shower it creates an image of an adventurer but very solid like a down-to-earth person.

To create this fragrance they planted an oud plantation in Australia… there’s little more to add. Just for that it deserves recognition. It’s a woody-spiced warm and seductive aroma where the combo is mostly made by the saffron oud and vanilla. Watch out don’t let this intimidate you because although it seems super intense and polarising I see it as easy to wear. It’s quite a friendly oud nothing dirty and in fact I think it could be a good approach for ‘beginners’. Only at the beginning when it starts to dry down a slightly animal character is perceived more from the leather than the oud but it drops quickly. When dry it has a light talc point accompanying that smoky and sweet vanilla velvet-like. Quite versatile perhaps more for temperate/cold climates. I see it as 100% unisex although I think it will please the female side more. Projection moderate/high not harassing. Longevity on skin > 8 hours. I must be honest I like it a lot and see it as extremely high quality. However I wouldn’t buy a bottle because in the dry down it reminds me saving distances of Byzance by Rochas. Perhaps I’m crazy because I haven’t heard anyone make this comparison but on my skin it does remind me quite a bit (70-80% similar)… and we’re talking about a perfume that costs almost 10 times less and has spectacular performance. Still I recommend trying it it’s worth it.

Silky Woods is easy and understated one of the top 10 I’ve tried and am lucky enough to own. Since I tried it until today it always has that synapse-inducing and pleasurable effect on the head. If I had to simplify it it smells like fresh ‘Starburst’ chewy sweets straight from the factory with a simply addictive and edible sweetness. Breaking it down it’s a vanilla-scented perfume with very elegant suede and a creamy sandalwood that gives a unique velvet sensation. Other things are noticeable mainly spices and flowers I can’t identify but the combination is magnificent. It doesn’t evolve much only at the end comes out a sweeter woody nuance I think the oud but absolutely it’s hard to understand or enjoy. Honestly it doesn’t remind me of anything else although Mercedes Benz Club Black is a good starting point to understand that similar vanilla sensation without being so sweet or dense but rather powdery like floral sugar. For cold and temperate climates all occasions very warm and captivating with excellent performance. I love this perfume and I think Goldfield & Banks pulled it out of a hat. My only gripe is the high price but I think it’s worth it though I invite you to try it. Note: 100/10.
Silky Woods is without a doubt one of the best 10 I have and I love it. From the first spray it leaves an incredible effect on the head. Silky warm and delicate vanilla with a soft suede-leather base and spices. A classy and original perfume not a projection bomb; the oud and suede-leather are well-integrated not overpowering but pushing to give prominence to that spiced vanilla not too gourmand. I’m not a fan of the brand’s fresh summer fragrances due to their short duration and sillage (4 hours) preferring the Italian style. But this ‘Botanical series’ line is another level in terms of longevity and quality. I like them all although some lean towards the feminine; they are all wearable by a man. Silky Woods has good longevity and is very sexy ideal for an autumn date or spring nights though it might fall short in very cold winters.

Super similar to Dionysus by Tiziana Terenzi, one of my favourite vanilla scents. I have a sample and when I used it, I thought it was 90% or more identical. After a while, my partner saw me and I said ‘smell me’ (I get a bit pushy with the ‘smell me’ requests), and he immediately said ‘Are you wearing Dionysus?’. Warm, sweet but slightly salty vanilla (like with ambergris), cosy and sexy. You can detect the suede but without being alarmed, very soft, like a caress. I’m fascinated by the moderate fixation and projection: about five hours. The first two hours smell great on me; from the third hour onwards it stays on the shirt collar, but it accompanies me perfectly. Unisex.
What a precious fragrance although I wouldn’t go for its price with my heart. I already have other cheaper vanillas that I adore. It smells of rich woody spiced vanilla; the saffron and cinnamon touch delicately at the start. Then it moves into a smoky phase with tobacco hints before settling as a warm vanilla with a subtle oud that highlights the wood and a soft leather. It clings to the skin for hours. I don’t notice the listed flowers. Sillage is moderate lasting about 10 hours. It’s unisex though with that strong vanilla it leans towards the feminine. It has similarities with several in the ‘reminds me of’ section but isn’t identical to any. I loved trying it; it blends an innocent vanilla with a dark mysterious base but for now I’m not buying it. Scent 8/10 Longevity 10/10 Sillage 6/10 Value for money 5/10 Versatility 7.5/10 Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? No I didn’t buy it.
It is a velvet vanilla that appears with a more noticeable suede at first but softens towards the dry down. I imagined it with more force but it is rather a personal cloud and elegant aroma. I couldn’t break down the notes with great differences as I feel it is very balanced being the powdery vanilla what prevails most. It is very pretty and allows using it as a signature perfume without problems I don’t think it’s dark or mysterious because the woody part remains subtle just like the leather. I find it sensual and intriguing to a certain extent. I understand it has raw materials from Australia but it is a vanilla that reminds me slightly of others. I had great excitement to try it because the notes attracted me we are in winter in Chile and I feel it falls short in sillage. I will see how it goes in a warmer season.
Velvety vanilla that gains strength with suede at first, but softens as it dries. I imagined it with more punch; it’s more of a personal cloud and elegant aroma. I can’t break down the notes; they’re very balanced, with powdery vanilla prevailing. Very pretty, works fine as a signature scent; I don’t find it dark or mysterious because the woody and leather notes are subtle. I find it sensual and intriguing. I understand it uses Australian raw materials, but it smells slightly of other vanillas. I was so excited; it’s winter in Chile and I feel it lacks a bit of trail. I’ll see how it performs in warmer weather.
It blew my mind. I saw it on a YouTube video and ordered niche samples; this is the first from the website. Totally different from my designer perfumes. After using up the sample, I felt obliged to buy the original at its price, as it’s my first niche, but it was worth it. Good investment if you’re a fan and want to smell different. Although it’s unisex, I feel comfortable, as other unisex scents felt too masculine on my skin, but this is a sensory delight. I’d like more longevity, but I’ve read there’s an extrait version to try later. Don’t buy blindly at this price; do try a sample first.
In short, an absolute marvel. Different vanilla (nothing pastry-like or synthetic), spiced and warm, very silky and cosy. You can tell the quality of the ingredients. Despite the oud, nothing animalic, which was one of my fears. Perfect for autumn and winter, though I used it in summer when I tested it and fell in love. A little gem.
I can’t believe it: a month waiting for the vial, and upon atomising it smells like injectable insulin. To my nose, it’s very masculine: lots of suede, saffron and tobacco. The jasmine is only hinted at by reading the notes, same with ylang and sandalwood, while the vanilla is sweetish, very similar to Le Couvent des Minuit. So disappointed I don’t know how to describe it better, I’m sorry.
I can’t believe it; a month of waiting and upon spraying, it smells like insulin for diabetics. To my nose, it’s super masculine, with suede, saffron and tobacco. Is the jasmine there just because it’s listed in the notes, like the ylang or sandalwood? And the vanilla is cloyingly sweet, very similar to Le Couvent des Minimes. I’m so disappointed I don’t know what else to say, I’m sorry.😔
No, suede and vanilla 😵. I just can’t stand it.
Noooo, suede and vanilla 😵, I can’t stand it.
Spiced, warm and cosy vanilla, nothing overly sweet. Be curious about the projection: up close it’s subtle, but people around can smell it several metres away in enclosed spaces. 9/10.
I bought it due to the TikTok and YouTube hype, expecting spices, vanilla, oud and something sweet. All I’ve picked up is an old, mouldy vanilla, probably the Australian sandalwood or suede making it smell like that. But I just can’t stand it. I recommend trying it before spending the money.

Leather, lavender and oud: an elegant and easy-to-wear leather that makes you feel good and distinguished. It’s not biker leather, but a silky one accompanied by vanilla and sandalwood.
Velvety vanilla that doesn’t last or project much, but that makes it even more delicate and special. It smells more like autumn than winter, perfect for those chilly spring days.
