I absolutely love it. It opens with a citrus burst but the neroli takes over almost immediately – they’re incredibly creamy and very different from Gucci Bloom. The name is slightly misleading; while it suits me perfectly, expecting something more summery based on the name was a bit of a letdown. I wear it in all seasons except extreme heat. I wouldn’t buy the full bottle, but I’ll definitely be ordering another decant from Parfory.
Struggling with neroli, a note I’ve always found difficult… Summer 69 was my first purchase on Parfory, chosen purely by the stars and the name. I wanted to conquer my fear of neroli and received an 8ml decant. At first, it put me off; the opening is brutal and reminded me of L’Interdit, but with an intensity I found unbearable (quite a potent ‘squirrel coat lady’ vibe!). After a month, however, a surprise: either my skin changed or I’ve matured, and now I see it as creamy, velvety, and gourmand with vanilla. I’ve found a lovely neroli! It’s not for the young; I view it as a cold, nocturnal scent, very feminine. I won’t buy the bottle (it lasts only 2 hours and dries quickly), but I’ll keep the decant forever. Perhaps I’ll mix it with Lira by Xerjoff or Bergamote 22 by Le Labo to boost the citrus notes.
I received this by mistake in my Parfory subscription and knew nothing about it, but I’ve enjoyed it. It opens with a sparkling lemon and bergamot, followed by a creamy, fresh white floral heart thanks to the neroli, and a base of vanilla with subtle musk and sandalwood. It lacks the ‘cloud’ note, yet in the middle it smells as if it has one; it recalls a less sweet version of Memo Paris Sintra. It’s a floral gourmand, warm and solar, yet it doesn’t evoke summer for me. It’s fresher than most of its family, so if you’re looking for something for the heat that isn’t aquatic or purely citrus, this is a good option. Unisex but better suited for women. Projection is 2-3 hours with an 8-hour longevity. A very beautiful perfume born from zero expectations, super versatile and easy to wear. The niche price is very affordable. It’s not extraordinary, but I’ll use the decant and won’t rule out the bottle.
