A complex composition where tobacco takes centre stage on my skin. Upon application, it hits hard with a boozy, spiced opening; I detect a sweet, though very subtle, base. The tobacco remains deeply dark, ashtray-like, yet pleasant if you’re a fan of the note, which I am. Suddenly, green and herbal notes emerge with a touch of sweet-fruitiness. In the final stages, the tobacco lingers alongside these green notes, but more restrained, thanks to what I believe is tonka bean. The dry-down loses some intensity but remains a blend of perhaps more tamed notes. To enjoy this, you must be a tobacco enthusiast; otherwise, it’s a miss and goodbye. Ideal for cold nights and special occasions. Not for dates or the office. Perfect for personal indulgence, closed-in evenings to enjoy one’s own company. I can also see myself in a dimly lit club with electronic or black metal playing, or whatever else. I’m rambling. Very interesting. Performance is outstanding. Whether it’s a purchase option remains to be seen. I’ve loved it.
