How on earth do they already have it??? 🙁 Edit: I bought a 10ml bottle and must get the larger one as both my daughter and I loved it.
I’ve only been testing this perfume for a few days. The day I tested it for the first time, the opening scared me; it’s a very strident opening, and from the start, you feel the patchouli, with a spiced and liquorish touch, feeling like a slap in the face 🤣, and I’d say it’s somewhat unisex. As it dries, the vanilla note becomes slightly more noticeable, but it’s a mature vanilla, not gourmand, always accompanied by that patchouli note, although in this stage I don’t feel it as candied patchouli. What I loved about the perfume is its dry-down: the vanilla slightly sweeter with a touch of effeminacy, and the patchouli less dominant; it’s an elegant perfume with a sexy touch. In my opinion, I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind. And if you’re not a fan of patchouli, you’ll probably not tolerate it. It has good longevity, approximately 7 hours. As I mentioned, in my opinion, its opening is somewhat unisex. I would wear it to night events or special occasions. The few times I’ve worn it, people ask what perfume I’m wearing. I must also clarify that the vibe of Arab perfumes, spiced and powerful, is totally felt.
For me, a brutal leap in quality. Vanille Royale is original, long-lasting, and projects strongly; it smells like an oriental with gourmand undertones. In the opening, it blends the sweet oud of Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet with the patchouli of Mugler’s Angel, but soon shifts to remind me of Lush’s Lord of Misrule as the sweetness rises. Upon spraying, it smells of an unlisted saffron, with an unofficial cherry note, before settling into vanillaised, spiced, and fortified patchouli, with plenty of wood and a touch of tobacco. The trail is notable and lasts about 10 hours on skin, even longer on clothes. It doesn’t remind me of Vanille 28, although they layer perfectly; however, combining them seems like a waste of the 28 because the Royale overpowers it. I bought the 10ml version, but I’ll buy it in bulk when I finish it. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 10/10, Value for money 7.5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
For me, it’s clearly a qualitative leap in the brand’s perfumes. Vanille Royale has originality, longevity, projection, and an exquisite scent. It’s a fragrance straddling the oriental and occidental, with gourmand tints and very marked oriental aspects. It has the sweet oud of Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet and the patchouli of Mugler’s Angel in the opening, which soon reminds me of Lush’s Lord of Misrule when the sweet notes appear. Upon opening, it smells strongly of an unlisted saffron; I also perceive an unlisted cherry phase before settling into a vanilla-patchouli, spiced, and liquorish scent, with lots of wood and a touch of tobacco. It has a notable trail and a longevity of about 10 hours on my skin, lasting much longer on clothes. Personally, it doesn’t remind me of Vanille 28. It’s true that it makes a perfect layering with it, but combining them seems like a waste of Vanille 28 since Vanille Royale swallows it almost completely. I bought the 10 ml bottle but would definitely buy the large bottle once I finish it. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Trail 10/10, Value for money 7.5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
It’s patchouli to the max, slightly liquorish, spiced, and sweet, but the patchouli dominates. You can feel the leather like gunpowder and a very pure vanilla that makes it sexy; you just have to let go of the hippie hit at the start to feel how it transforms into something elegant and classy. In my opinion, it’s a night perfume for cold seasons, as it feels oppressive in the heat. It’s powerful, with good longevity and wonderful quality, but you must like the main note. If you’re curious, start with the 10 ml.
It’s deep and dark; the opening is strident, masculine, and slightly synthetic, which I find annoying. But when it dries down, it’s a sweet and exquisite vanilla, elegant, sensual, and feminine. With this perfume, you receive compliments; it’s good. It’s the only good perfume Kayali has released and it’s worth the price. Good longevity and projection, quality ingredients.
It’s a deep and dark perfume; the opening is very strident, masculine, and slightly synthetic, which bothers me. Oh my goodness, I absolutely adore this perfume. The opening is a very strident patchouli that pushes you away, with a hint of aged rum, but once it settles on the skin, it’s a true marvel: an exquisite vanilla mixed with patchouli, spiced and very warm. It feels like an opulent, elegant, and divine fragrance.
Good heavens, I absolutely adore it. The opening is a strident patchouli that turns people away with a touch of aged rum, but when it dries down on skin, it’s a true marvel: exquisite vanilla and patchouli, spiced and very warm. It feels opulent, elegant, and divine.
The patchouli is very noticeable! Then comes the vanilla and leather. Although it dries more pleasantly, in my opinion I didn’t like it much due to that patchouli; it’s too strong.
After months with it (editing my March comment in November), I must say I love it. It’s sweet and addictive; I keep coming back to it and I adore it. Previously, I agreed it had too much patchouli: it’s an intense, luxurious vanilla with patchouli at full volume, so strong that the other notes are mere supporting players. For me, it’s unisex, masculine, and elegant. I love powerful bombs, but this gave me nausea after just four sprays (I usually use more than twelve) and I had to wash my neck. Undoubtedly a good fragrance, but it’s not for me.
It reminds me of the Raghba bouquet; it’s a sweet oud, but more complex, with noticeable patchouli and other notes. They go hand in hand: it’s a heavy, intoxicating, and potent fragrance. It’s for cold weather; I wouldn’t think of wearing it in summer. I tried it to see how it smells and left it to macerate for autumn-winter. What good quality Kayali has; it’s my fourth purchase and I don’t rule out buying the whole line because they never disappoint in sillage, projection, and longevity. A hit if you like potent perfumes with that liquorish finish. 10/10 ❤️❤️
Reminds me a bit of Ruyi by Raghba; it’s a sweet oud but more complex, with noticeable patchouli and more nuances. They go hand in hand; both are powerful, intoxicating, and strong. Ideal for cold weather; I can’t even imagine wearing it in summer. I’m letting it macerate for autumn-winter. Kayali’s quality is top-notch; it’s my fourth purchase and I have no hesitation in buying the whole line as they never fail on trail, projection, or longevity. A hit if you like powerful perfumes with that liquorish touch. 10/10 ❤️
Bought it blind and was initially shocked; it seemed too masculine and heavy. However, once it dried, it transformed into a creamy, delicious vanilla that had me checking my arm every few minutes. In the end, I wore it and it’s a beast: deep, sophisticated, with sweet, hazelnut, and floral nuances. Totally in love.
