There is much to say about its simplicity. Neither as good nor as bad as they claim. Eden Juicy Apple was the first proposal chosen by the brand to be cheerful, carefree, and juicy. Very fruity, with a sparkling opening of apple and red berries evolving into a musky and vanilla note. Sweet but refreshing, I see it for spring. It reminds me of Escada or Victoria’s Secret: informal, simple, cheerful, innocent, or childish. I would like more depth; sometimes it seems unfinished, lacking a characterful base. Perhaps it serves for layering. Moderate-soft trail, good longevity on my skin, about 8 hours. My partner loves it for dinner. Perhaps he finds it seductive where I don’t, or experts seek complexity while the public enjoys simplicity. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Trail 6/10, Value for money 5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? No.
Any Escada fruity chibi in a red bottle with a high price tag: this is Kayali Eden Apple Juicy 01. I would have given the 01 more thought. It breaks with the previous line, but breaks well. Nothing to do with its eight sisters. It’s either for a young audience or a Christmas box filler. Smells exactly like an Escada summer scent. For winter? No. Only positive in heat. Ends the year as a disappointment. Not worth the price, it’s not Kayali like the others (even the Elixir). Try before you buy, don’t do as I did.
Agreeing with the previous review: disappointing, nothing new or complex, just common, and not worth the price. I have other scents from the house I prefer. This gourmand costs a fortune and doesn’t last long. It’s neither bold nor unusual. Smells like cheap pharmacy fruit mist, red berries, and juicy apple. The dry down has too much musk which I dislike. Longevity and projection are average, low if you apply little. One of the most disappointing of 2021.
For Mona Kattan, this is her school days. It’s a juicy apple with sugar and jasmine. I sense a woody base that gives it a niche feel and an expensive character. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s well-made and doesn’t smell like a basic celebrity perfume.
Simple given the price, but poor longevity and it fades cold. Smells like old perfumes from my school days. Being so sweet, I think it’s more for women; the trail is very soft. Not worth it, there are better ones from the brand, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Simple but effective. Clean and refreshing. I agree with others that it reminds me of childhood apple colognes. YES, it lasted a long time (+7h) with moderate sillage; I constantly smelled myself. I understand that for the price one would expect something more special. I have the set at home but I don’t think I’d spend that much. My partner’s comment: ‘ufff, very sweet, isn’t it?’ (I don’t agree).
Simple but effective. Clean, refreshing. I have liked it very much; it reminds me of childhood apple colognes. YES, it lasted long on my skin (+7h) with a moderate trail, constantly smells like me. I understand that for the price one expects something more special… I have a discovery set but wouldn’t spend that much on this. My partner’s comment: “Ugh, very sweet, isn’t it?” (I don’t agree).
The best experience and I don’t understand the negative comments. I bought a decant and liked it so much that I didn’t hesitate to buy the large version, although I had to wait for it to be imported to Chile. Sweet and fresh aroma, like caramelised (candied) red apple with something clean. Longevity unexpectedly good (I usually have poor fixation), lasting from one afternoon until the next morning. Initial projection is strong, then skin-scent but I can smell it on my pillow. Extremely pleasant aroma, easy to wear, perfect for simple and cheerful days. It varies slightly as it dries, becoming less sharp but retaining a sweet base with something aquatic, reminiscent of Crystal Bright Absolu. Grateful, pleasant, uncomplicated and of good quality.
The best one; I don’t understand the negative comments. I bought a decant and liked it so much I sought the large bottle in Chile. Sweet and fresh aroma, caramelised red apple with something clean. Unexpectedly good longevity, from afternoon until the next morning. Initial projection is strong, then skin scent but I can smell it on my pillow. Extremely pleasant, low difficulty level, perfect for simple and cheerful days. It varies slightly as it dries, less sharp but a sweet base with something aquatic. Reminds me of Crystal Bright Absolu but different. I have liked it very much, pleasant and uncomplicated. It won’t be ultra-sophisticated but it is good quality for me.
It features a realistic and novel red apple note. Caramelised, fresh, and sweet, it evokes a coquettish femininity without overwhelming; the apple is tempting without being vulgar. At first, acidic apple with grapefruit, a fresh green sensation. In seconds, juicy red apple type Fuji with Red Delicious sweetness. On my skin, lychee emerges which doesn’t suit me, it dominates and doesn’t evolve well. Pity, there are charming lychee fragrances but they don’t adapt; the apple highlights better on my clothes. The berries manifest over time with a subtle floral base. Balance of sweetness (fruit, sugar, vanilla) and freshness (musk, acidity), a sensation of soft shampoo cleanliness. It’s not strident, pleasant, and ideal for spring/summer daytime. After an hour it seems to fade and isn’t as pleasant when close to the nose, but when moving, trails are perceived that invite buying the large bottle. I only have a decant of the discovery set on Cult Beauty. Curious about the brand via social media, promising notes but not economical. My dry skin doesn’t retain it well, I doubt investing. Of the eight in the set, this is the one I liked most. I find no similarity with Lattafa Bade’e Al Oud Sublime: this is rougher, artificial, with serious patchouli and moss, unisex, not that tempting red apple fairytale scent. Lattafa: usable, doesn’t give nausea but I wouldn’t buy. Kayali: rich, simple without pretensions. If Snow White used perfume, it would be this. Obsessed with red apple, I tried Thank U Next 2.0: similar, but Ariana is sweet red apple with pomegranate, strawberry, marshmallow sweet, and feminine orchid. Ariana is more youthful, both beautiful. Similar style, beautiful red apple, not dupes.
Features a realistic and novel red apple note. It’s caramelised, fresh and sweet, evoking a playful femininity without being overwhelming. At the start, there’s an acidic apple with grapefruit giving a green freshness, but within seconds it reveals a juicy red apple (like Fuji with Red Delicious sweetness). On my skin, the lychee dominates and doesn’t evolve well, although the apple stands out better on my clothes. The berries appear over time alongside a subtle floral base. It’s a balance of sweetness and freshness that reminds me of a gentle shampoo. It’s not strident, pleasant and non-invasive, ideal for daytime spring and summer. After an hour it fades and isn’t as pleasant up close, but as I move, I catch scents that invite buying the large bottle. I only have a decant from Cult Beauty; the brand is expensive and my dry skin doesn’t hold fragrances well, which makes me hesitate. Of the three in the set, this is the one I liked most. I can’t find a similarity with Lattafa’s Bade’e Al Oud Sublime (coarser and more serious). This Kayali one is rich, simple and unpretentious; if Snow White wore a perfume, it would be this. Obsessed with the red apple note, I tried Thank U Next 2.0 and it’s similar, but Ariana’s stands out for the pomegranate, strawberry and marshmallow sweetness. Both are beautiful and of a similar style, they aren’t dupes.
Opens with a fairly artificial sweet apple note. As it dries, it softens into a sweet apple with a hint of acidity (lychee) and a lot of musk. Poor longevity and sillage. I’m glad I bought the small size as I don’t think it’s worth the price.
Initially smells rich of red fruits, but once it dries down, it’s just a premium shampoo scent. Smells nice, but it’s not for me.
A sweet, caramelised little apple with an amber base that makes you float all day. Novel and perfect, a real wonder this Kayali. Recommended.
My second favourite after Sparkling Lychee. A rich, addictive opening that is fresh yet sweet. It’s the perfume of a young girl at the market surrounded by fruit. Some people smell shampoo in it, but that’s just a mental association; for me, it makes me feel fresh, feminine and happy. Its only drawback is longevity: being light, its sillage is small and doesn’t last past an hour. Kayali usually doesn’t last long, and Escada has similar options with better fixative properties. It depends on whether it works for you.
My first Kayali confirmed that some perfumes need time to settle. 🚨 Initially, I was disappointed by the different opening compared to the store, but after a month, its true scent returned. It’s a fruity-citrus blend (spring/summer) with grapefruit and blackcurrant notes that yield into white florals and a vanilla base. On my skin, it smells like sweet fairground apple 🍎, reminding me of autumn and Halloween 🍁🎃. It’s not heavy, perfect for everyday wear in autumn and winter ❄️. Note: given the price, I expected better longevity (3-4 hours on my skin) and sillage.
Very fruity and brilliant. The dry-down feels tropical; at first I noticed that red apple with berries as expected, although the evolution doesn’t last. The good thing is that it smells lovely and lasts quite a while.
Lives up to its name: a juicy, unpretentious apple. Ideal for those seeking a fruity-gourmand scent, though on my skin the sweet opening fades quickly to leave a synthetic vanilla that didn’t quite convince me.
