The name hints at the rum in the base, but there is a lot to enjoy before that: blackcurrant, pink pepper, bergamot, and a delicate floral heart all play a part in the story.
The opening is lively and a little peppery, with blackcurrant and bergamot leading the way. Pink pepper adds an unexpected edge, making the first impression feel modern and crisp.
At the heart, lily of the valley and apple provide a tender, almost powdery softness, while patchouli lends a darker, earthy quality. This middle section keeps the fragrance from becoming too sweet or overly floral.
