Bergamot and aldehydes lead the opening, followed by ylang-ylang, rose, lily of the valley and iris, with amber, resins, castoreum, patchouli and oakmoss forming the foundation.
At first, the impression is luminous and tidy. The bergamot offers a sharp citrus freshness, given extra polish by aldehydes with their clean, slightly fizzy character reminiscent of older chypres.
Then the bouquet broadens. Creamy, faintly exotic ylang-ylang shapes the yellow-floral aspect, rose lends brightness, lily of the valley keeps things green and white, and iris dusts the whole heart with powder.
