  • The notes promised so much: coconut, strawberry, caramel, piña colada… wow! A summery gourmand, but the reality was different; it smells like everything except those notes. It smells masculine yet pleasant, fresh and sweet; I detect woods, citrus, some florals and perhaps something aquatic. It doesn’t smell bad, simply not the promised notes. My mother loved it, I gifted it to her and she praised it constantly until she gifted it on to someone else; I’ve already asked for several small bottles because she adores it. That said, the trail is ultra-powerful; as soon as I opened the box, the whole room started smelling of it.

I was very surprised by the quality of Al Rehab oils; I’ve tried four and they all smell good. I thought that being budget-friendly they would be synthetic, but they aren’t. Zahrat Hawaii is fruity, tropical, citrusy and sweet, perfect for summer or to feel on holiday without smelling like suntan lotion. It’s unisex if you like fruity and sweet scents.

In my opinion as a man, I ordered several Al Rehab products out of curiosity to try something similar to Virgin Island Water. At first, I thought ‘ehh’, it smells sweet and I set it aside. But I wore it to work in the sun at 12:30 and, without exaggerating, it lasted over 10 hours. I tested it in heat, air conditioning… this is madness, perhaps alongside Club De Nuit Intense. It evolves a lot: starts as a fruit cocktail, then sweet pineapple, followed by Halls-style honey and ends on pineapple. Totally recommended for cheerful women or daring men who want to smell different. 9/10.

Zahrat Hawai (roll-on 6ml) opens citrusy, then highlights ripe strawberry and pineapple with a touch of banana and coconut. The dry-down is sweet, creamy and lightly musky, like a rich tropical drink. Note: it doesn’t resemble Virgin Island Water; Creed’s is citrusy with rum and coconut, whereas this is fruitier and sweeter, à la Escada. They share that tropical vibe: fun, fresh and relaxing. Perfect for unisex in summer. The trail is low but it lasts well. I love these affordable oils, ideal for layering.

  • This is a marvellous, Hawaiian, summery scent for surfers and the beach. It smells like piña colada with coconut and a fantastic sweetness with good projection and longevity. I bought it without expecting much and it has surprised and delighted me. Excellent performance and quality at a great price. Recommended ❣️

  • What a marvel! It’s a genuine Hawaiian scent: summery, surfer and beach vibes. Smells like piña colada with its coconut and a fantastic sweet with good projection. I bought it without hesitation and I loved it. Excellent quality at a very good price. Highly recommended with all my heart.

  • If you’re looking for a Virgin Island Water clone, forget it. Don’t believe the YouTubers who know nothing about perfumes; this doesn’t smell of coconut or pineapple. It opens like an indeterminate fruit air freshener, then turns into banana gum and solid Moroccan musk (à la Jamid Hemani), which is the only decent part. It’s worth the price.

  • I bought the 35ml EDP and the matte bottle looks smart, but the cap and atomiser are a real let-down with no attention to detail. On my skin, it doesn’t smell of coconut or piña colada; instead, it’s a strawberry and citrus fruit salad where the coconut is barely noticeable. Plus, it smells a bit of alcohol and doesn’t last long—only about two hours.

  • I purchased the 35ml EDP version. The cap is of very poor quality and the spray nozzle lacks a decorative element, though the matte glass bottle is quite pretty. I detect no coconut or piña colada; instead, it smells like a strawberry fruit salad with citrus and pineapple, although the coconut doesn’t stand out on my skin. Additionally, it feels a bit alcoholic and the longevity is poor, lasting only a couple of hours at most.
