Angela Stavrevska

Angela has always been obsessed with scents, often coming from nature but also from abstract areas such as urban landscapes and the built environment. Born in Great Britain, with mixed heritage, her most vivid memories are rooted in smell. With a degree in Chemistry, Angela worked briefly as an analytical chemist, but throughout she wanted to be a perfumer. So, with hard work, luck and determination, Angela secured a position at CPL in the marketing team and then trained internally to become a perfumer. Angela now works in a cross-functional role as perfumer and creative director. This includes developing opportunities for public relations for CPL, delivering training and marketing knowledge to clients, and, in general, being immersed in the world of brands in order to develop contemporary fragrances suitable for their clients. “Me encanta la etapa conceptual de un proyecto. Mi amor por el marketing y el branding nunca me ha abandonado, así que las etapas iniciales de un proyecto en las que puedo pensar en la imagen completa de un nuevo producto —sus raíces de marca, su audiencia, su universo creativo— me resultan emocionantes. Luego, traducir eso en una fragancia es un poco como ser un niño en una tienda de dulces, una tienda de dulces que resulta estar dentro de mi cabeza”. Speaking about the future of fragrances, Angela said she is excited. “Los consumidores están cada vez más abiertos a probar cosas nuevas, y el estudio de otros beneficios que los materiales de las fragancias pueden tener para nuestro bienestar físico y mental podría abrir toda una nueva dimensión de aromas con propósito”. Outside perfumery, Angela loves long-distance walks and running, as well as spending time in her garden, assessing the ever-evolving perfumed patio.
