Gérald Ghislain is a renowned perfumer, known for his innovative and unconventional approach to fragrances. In the year 2000, he founded Histoires de Parfums, a fragrance line that quickly gained worldwide recognition for its unconventional and bold compositions.

As the creative force behind Histoires de Parfums, Ghislain has declared himself free from the expectations and restrictions of commercial perfumery, allowing his imagination to fly freely and creating fragrances that range from soft and enchanting to wild and animalic, from gourmand to downright sexy. His childhood as a traveller has influenced his work, and notes such as cardamom, cumin, clove and cinnamon often appear in unexpected ways, giving his fragrances a unique vitality and distinctive character.
