Born in Chile and raised in Arica, a port on the border with Peru. Researcher of Aromatic Heritage and Latin American ethnoperfumery. Distiller and specialist in the native botany of the southern world. His training in perfumery has taken place in Spain and France, but his deepening has been given by fieldwork distilling in the Cordillera de Los Andes and Patagonia.
His work has always been focused on designing experiences as founder and director of “La Bicicleta Verde”, a sustainable travel operator featured in the media such as The New York Times, The Guardian and Travel & Leisure, where some of his most famous clients include Sir Paul McCartney and Steven Tyler.
Currently, with his brand 432, he investigates and proposes aromatic journeys based on the diversity and mysteries of Chilean aromas, alongside the production of the documentary “Aromas de Chile” about the relationship between the poetic processes of aromatic extraction, conservation, and the territories of the southern world.
The perfume blending techniques he uses combine the traditional European school with Latin American herbalism and shamanism. 432 proposes that its aromas should be a bridge for an intimate connection between human beings and wild nature. The number 432 evokes the history of vibration in hertz that links the plant kingdom with vital functions of the human being and the natural sound of the universe.
