Josh Lobb

Josh Lobb is a self-taught perfumer and founder of Slumberhouse, a fragrance brand based in Portland, Oregon. Born and raised in the United States, Lobb spent his early years pursuing other creative interests such as music and painting. Eventually, he became interested in fragrances and began experimenting with creating his own scents. At first, Lobb sold his fragrances one by one via the online marketplace Etsy. As his creations gained popularity, he formed Slumberhouse as a collective with a group of artists and creatives. Lobb handled the fragrances while his friends worked on the art, clothing, and other projects inspired by their work. Despite the success of his fragrances, Lobb remains entirely self-taught in the field of perfumery. He creates aromas using both synthetic and natural ingredients, rejecting the label of a perfumer of products exclusively made from natural materials. The fragrances created by Lobb and Slumberhouse are known for their intense and natural vibes, which have earned them a loyal following among fragrance enthusiasts. Among his most popular fragrances are Slumberhouse Norne, Slumberhouse Kiste and Slumberhouse Ore. Lobb continues to experiment with fragrances, often inspired by the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest that surround him.
