  A colleague at university gave this to me when I was 18 and just starting my independent life, with the future swirling in my mind. Although I didn’t see myself in the job I was studying for, I was delighted to have taken the step. I remember sleepless nights smelling my hair and pyjamas; even though it was a cheap fragrance, it lasted all day and night, whispering ‘everything will be fine’. It smells like caramelised pear compote, a proper treat. My coconut meals involved emigrating to Germany, though I knew it would take a lot of courage, but I managed it. At Christmas in 18, the streets smelled just like my perfume. I had manifested my future with that scent, and in Germany they serve apple compote with dessert! After this whirlwind… Regarding the perfume: here I discovered I absolutely love pear scents. Beyond citrus, I don’t enjoy much fruit unless it’s well-integrated with florals or musk, but this is incredible. Since then, I’ve been looking for something similar, but they discontinued it as it was part of the Christmas line, and I can’t find anything quite like it. I’m keeping an eye out for any recommendations 🥺
