What a delight; the deep red bottle already hints at the scent. The oud comes out very intense and animalic, but within minutes other notes soften it. Juicy red fruits blend with the wood, while saffron adds its distinctive touch, creating something intense, oriental, and unique. It’s not an oud for the daring; it sits right in the middle because the animal side only dominates at first.

It’s far from being a difficult oud; I’d place it in the middle, as that animal side only dominates at the start.
I still can’t decide if I’ll like it; it’s the first time I’ve tried this famous rose and oud blend. Without a doubt, a must-stop on my journey as a collector. The oud smells of animal manure for the first hour and a half; you have to endure that scent before moving on to something more pleasant, where rose, raspberries, and pineapple manage to neutralise it, leaving quite a nice trail. I still haven’t got used to it. I’ll give it more chances to see if it wins my heart or ends up in the bin. I’ve already given it a try, and in the end, it’s going in the bin—the initial aroma is too heavy to tolerate for more than two hours.
