I found it at a bargain price and decided to give it a try. The opening and the first 40-50 minutes are delicious: top-quality spices, pepper, cardamom and excellent ginger. As it dries, it becomes woody with what I think is Atlas cedar. Of all the cedars, this is the one I dislike the most; it smells of pencil shavings and has a milky touch, like a very soft blue cheese. It lasts around 6 hours with contained projection. It doesn’t smell the same, but conceptually it’s similar to Zara Black Pepper & Cedarwood. It’s a typical discontinued item found discounted at 10€, although even the Zara version lasts longer and projects better. If I’d bought it at the normal price, the letdown would have been enormous.

As it dries, it becomes woody, revealing what I believe is Atlas cedar. Of all the cedars, this is the one I dislike the least; apart from the pencil shavings scent, it has a milky touch, like a very soft blue cheese. Longevity is poor, around 6 hours, with contained projection. It doesn’t smell the same, but conceptually it’s similar to Zara Black Pepper & Cedarwood. It’s just another discontinued Zara find, those you can grab for 10€. Even the Zara version lasts and projects better. If I’d bought it at the regular price, it would have been a huge disappointment.
It opens with fresh ginger mixed with one of the finest peppers I’ve ever smelled. Pepper is the dominant note, with hints of cardamom or nutmeg appearing and disappearing. I see it as elegant, ideal for the office or an expensive restaurant, not for parties or drinks. Longevity is moderate, around 8 hours. Sillage and projection are moderate; if you wear it, it’s noticeable for about 4 hours before fading.
