It’s unisex, though with a more feminine air. Linear evolution, oriental sandalwood and a top vanilla note. Young, seductive and warm, but only suitable for cold weather or evening. The vanilla makes it attractive. Novel? No. A bomb? No. It’s for those who like sweet and soft. The fixation and trail are poor, but it lasts if you over-apply. I found it pricey for what it offers, though it is exclusive. It suits pastel colours, a relaxed or bohemian style. For aggressive women, there are more potent vanillas. For men, it’s for young guys on informal nights out, not for work. It’s good, but just one among hundreds of vanillas and woods. Ideal for gifting to a teenager, a sure bet.

  • To cut to the chase like the scent itself: soft, feminine vanilla with a touch of sandalwood at the end, but the trail is short. Given the price, there are much cheaper youthful alternatives that smell just as good.

  • I’ve had this for six months as a gift; I’m a 25-year-old man. They gave it to me because I went crazy when I smelled it on a tester. On the tester, I noticed a sweet, addictive and soft scent, but when I wore it from the bottle, it wasn’t that I didn’t like it, but that it bore no resemblance to the tester scent. I’d define it as young and warm, for cold nights, but I think it becomes too heavy if worn outdoors, very suffocating. The best is to wear it knowing you’re going to dinner in cold weather. It doesn’t have great longevity and the trail is average.

  • I’m a 25-year-old man and I’ve had it as a gift for six months. They gave it to me because I went crazy when I smelled it on a tester. On the tester, I noticed it was sweet, addictive, and soft, but when I wore it straight from the bottle, I didn’t dislike it, just couldn’t recall the tester scent. I’d define it as young and warm for cold nights, but I think it gets overwhelming if you’re outside; it’s very heavy. Ideally, wear it knowing you’re going to a dinner in cold weather. It doesn’t have great longevity and the trail is average.

I was about to buy it because it was lovely on blotting paper; I found it clean and spring-like. But another day, worn on skin, after 15 minutes, I didn’t like it at all; in fact, it gave me nausea. It’s curious how the sense of smell changes or how it’s perceived differently. It seemed cloying to me, like those cream-filled sweets I used to eat as a child, too sweet and over-vanillised for my taste or for the season, spring. Obviously, I aborted the purchase. 😅

It came across as cloying, like custard creams from my childhood, too sweet and vanilla-heavy for my taste or for spring. I aborted the purchase.

Oh jeez, what a perfume. I’ve really liked it, but it doesn’t last at all on me. Other Zadig scents last forever. It’s a woody vanilla with a tiny gourmand hint; nothing groundbreaking, but worth it. I’ll buy a 30ml bottle to see how it performs, and then… who knows. If you like vanillas, it’s a must-have. Ignore the nonsense; it’s completely unisex. I think I want it.

Upon trying it, it reminded me of Just Rock! For Her, like a less intense version. It’s pure vanilla with sandalwood surrounded by lots of musk; very pleasant. I can’t detect the patchouli. It’s a well-executed unisex scent that should appeal to everyone. Simple but smells great; the perfect gift. Good longevity, about six hours with a moderate trail, noticeable throughout. Good price. If you love vanillas or woods that shout ‘autumn’, you’ll adore it, and if you like Just Rock for Her, this will suit you too.

  • Perfumesjuveniles

Simple formula: vanilla and sandalwood. I see it as very unisex, more for a man than a woman; it suits the person, not the gender. It reminds me of Le Male, perhaps due to that masculine vanilla. Competitive price, good quality, and excellent longevity; you can smell it all day. It’s pleasant, not overly feminine, yet lovely and warm. If you like This Is Her, you might enjoy this too; it’s more woody and less creamy-floral. Worth owning both, even for evening occasions.

  • Perfumesjuveniles

Simple formula: vanilla and sandalwood. I see it as very unisex, suitable for boys too; I don’t think it comes across as very feminine, it depends more on the person than the gender. In fact, without seeming similar, it has a touch that reminds me of Le Male, perhaps that masculine vanilla. Competitive price, good quality and very good longevity; you can smell it all day. It’s pleasant, not a ‘mummy’ perfume but pretty and warm. If you like This Is Her, you might like this too; it’s more woody and less creamy-floral. Worth having both, and it has its charm for certain nights out.

  • I only tried it in perfumeries; I don’t own it and don’t think I’ll buy it. It’s simple, plain, flat, and lacks evolution. The scent isn’t original: a soft vanilla close to the skin with a very subtle woody touch. It’s not a bad smell, but it doesn’t say anything to me. At around £55 in Spain, I’d prefer other cheaper options with better performance, like those from Zara. It’s unisex due to the sweet-wood balance, good for everyday wear in heat. Good, but simple.

I fell in love with it. From the opening to the dry down, everything is very harmonious, powdery and elegant. My nose and skin adore vanilla and patchouli, and I’m slowly becoming addicted to sandalwood. It works day and night, for young girls or not so young. This fragrance moves away from the trend of cloyingly sweet scents, which is a relief. The bottle is simple but pretty, leaving a discreet yet lasting trail. A very good purchase for its versatility and refinement.

  • Isabeau Lafontaine

I absolutely love this fragrance. From the initial blast through to the dry down, where the notes come together harmoniously, powdery, and elegant. The vanilla and patchouli are a hit on my skin, and gradually I’m discovering that I’m drawn to perfumes with sandalwood. It works for day and night, for young and not-so-young people alike. It avoids those cloyingly sweet scents, which is a relief. The bottle is simple but pretty, with a discreet yet long-lasting trail. A very good purchase thanks to its versatility and refinement.

  • I’ve only had This Is Us by Zadig & Voltaire for a short time, although I knew of it. From the first moment, a fresh and fruity opening, but as it evolves, the sandalwood stands out with great elegance. It’s a soft, creamy and slightly amber sandalwood that blends with the floral notes to give comfort and sophistication. The vanilla makes it even softer and warmer without losing that initial freshness. What I like about the sandalwood here is that it doesn’t overwhelm; instead, it’s a subtle but essential touch that adds depth and balance. It feels modern and comfortable, ideal for any time of day. Without a doubt, the sandalwood is what makes it so special and unique.

  • I’ve had This Is Us by Zadig & Voltaire for a short while, even though I knew it beforehand. The opening is fresh and fruity, evolving into an elegant, soft, creamy sandalwood with an amber touch. It blends beautifully with the florals for comfort and sophistication, while the vanilla adds warmth without losing freshness. The sandalwood is subtle, not overpowering, and provides perfect depth and balance. It smells modern and comfortable for any occasion; that’s what makes it unique.
