For me, the queen of the collection. It starts with a citrus explosion that then mellows out to yield to amber and vanilla, without being anything too cloying. It’s not super fresh, but ideal for spring and temperate summers. On my skin it lasts about 7/8 hours, projects well for the first hour and a half, and it’s that kind of fragrance that everyone loves. I couldn’t resist buying it, especially with the price it has here in Spain for designer perfumery these days.
I was very attracted to it because it’s unique and I couldn’t resist buying it. The opening is citrusy, on my skin the orange stands out with a touch of lemon. It’s followed by a sweet smell of rum, amber and vanilla which combined with the citrus gives a ‘dessert’ aroma, very attractive and unique (I think it’s perfect for unisex). The best thing is that it’s not a generic or typical sweet scent, it doesn’t saturate and it’s not heavy. In the end it leaves a woody base, more masculine and calm, but keeping that sweetness. The longevity isn’t much; after two hours it’s almost undetectable unless you’re very close or in an enclosed space. However, at the start (first half hour) it projects an incredible trail, sweet and attractive, almost like an instant explosion. Personally I recommend reapplying before going out. It’s ideal for dates or parties, it attracts a lot and although it doesn’t saturate, I don’t see it for daily wear, the office or meetings. In conclusion, it’s very pleasant and everyone likes it, especially women, but it’s a pity it doesn’t last long on my skin.

It smells 85% the same as Lalique White in Black on the dry-down, but the Lalique one is a bit less intense and has lavender. Very nice too.

I glanced at it on blotter in the store, tested it on my wrist and two hours later I was back buying it. It’s a sweet citrus with a boozy and rich woody touch: it starts with citrus, moves into that sweet, vanilla and boozy heart, and finally fades to let the woods come through. It lasts about 6/7 hours and projects decently for the first two. The price is reasonable for a designer brand. Zadig & Voltaire is one of the few brands that are currently saving themselves with original launches and good quality. The next one to fall is ‘This Is Really Him’, another marvel.
I know I’m going to regret it, but I tried it and it didn’t take. I’ve been searching for a designer fragrance that makes me buy on the spot, and this wasn’t it. Smelling it made me think: ‘Right, you’re out on Gran Vía on a Saturday at 8 pm, and within 10 seconds you’re crossed by 200 blokes with the same shop-like musk’. I wanted to be smitten, but it was a total letdown. The dry-down is incredibly generic; it doesn’t even smell like a designer scent, Zara does better… Pure indifference.
