Descripción
Lys Sølaberg by Maison Crivelli is a woody musky floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2021, this composition was created by nose Nathalie Feisthauer. The top notes unfold quince, carrot seeds, wine lees, and bergamot; the heart reveals dried fruits, lily of the valley, iris, and aromatic calamus; while the base notes close the structure with smoke, ambroxan, oak, cedar, guaiac wood, tobacco, yerba mate, labdanum, oakmoss, and patchouli.

Lys Sølaberg is by far the most original perfume from the entire brand, and I’ve loved that. Without looking at the notes, I sense a mix of nuances: something like scented hand cream, woody notes, and flowers heavy with pollen. Upon examining them, the dominant elements are quince, lily, iris and tobacco. It has a sweet air that doesn’t become overly powdery, but it adds a clear creaminess to the composition, which is complex and at times indescribably pleasant. In summary, apart from being unique, it smells of high quality. I’d wear it in temperate climates to make an impression, viewing it as a well-performing unisex scent. Worth trying. Rating: 8/10.
Vegetal bitterness at first due to that carrot, which I recognise well after hearing about Like This by Etat Libre d’Orange. Dried, non-sweet fruit peel and it gives me the impression of smelling crushed dry wine leaves, something that doesn’t exist in real life. I also detect dry quince. Everything feels powdery and withered. It turned into a curious scent.
Fantastic. It’s been a personal discovery, from the scent to the longevity. A citrus opening that isn’t sharp; it reminded me of Perris Monte Carlo’s Cedre de Diamante. Gradually, an iris emerges that I adore, very much in the style of Dior Homme 2005, which smells quite like the original Dior formula. It becomes sweeter and powdery, with quince in the heart. Excellent performance on my skin, lasting 12 hours without needing to reapply. A great find from the house.
Above all, intriguing. I can picture it on a 45+ Norwegian mother or an alternative city girl. What defines it is that dehydrated fruit, a hint of wine, quince and carrot seeds. It’s a fruity scent (not juicy), with vegetal and woody nuances, mature and feminine.
