Descripción
Ambre Chromatique by Maison Crivelli is an oriental floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, this composition features the olfactory signature of Quentin Bisch. The top notes of incense and pink pepper provide a spiced and sacred opening; the heart reveals the freshness of davana and osmanthus, also known as bitter orange blossom; while the base settles on a warm and enveloping blend of amber, benzoin, and bourbon vanilla.

Divine pearl, now in my top tier of Maison Crivelli. Nothing to do with Grand Soir; although they share amber notes, this one is more youthful, playful, and coquettish, whereas the other remains dense and sober with heavy spice. Ambre Chromatique displays many more facets from the start, with those touches of incense and pink pepper giving it a semi-smoky, spiced air, and the osmanthus always sweet and gourmand. That sticky-sweet and spicy blend is enchanting from the first sniff. I love it! Wide trail, magnificent longevity, and it stays fixed on the skin for hours without needing reapplication. I adore it! It’s the perfume of the year for me. I like Hibiscus Mahajad a lot, but this has dethroned it. Unisex; if you like sweet and amber scents, don’t hesitate.
First time with Ambre Chromatique and it hit me hard: an apothegmatic opening, spiced with pepper and very concentrated incense, resins, and a vibrant note reminiscent of narcissus. As it settles, the amber emerges, warm and comforting, blended with vanilla and wood; sweet and sensual without being cloying. As it dries, the incense opens up, allowing air through and becoming more refined, slightly smoky. In the early drying phase, it oscillates between spiciness and a crystal-clean freshness, like pure, luminous amber. Finally, it becomes even more enveloping: woods and resins intertwine in a deep aroma. The final notes drift into a gourmand vanilla, almost edible, like a Turkish dessert. I love its evolution and three-dimensionality. At first, it recalls Gucci Guilty Elixir and Tom Ford’s Amber Absolute, though they share little else; it gives me that vibe, perhaps due to the pepper and osmanthus. Over time, it leans towards spiced ambers like Ambre Sultan or Ambre Loup. Ultimately, that starring vanilla, almost edible, brings to mind little Turkish sweets. In short, it’s a bomb for amber lovers: tasty, potent, evolving, showy, and quite versatile (if you control the trigger). Worth trying, but don’t buy blindly. Tested on a rainy winter day at 6°C. 5 sprays. Longevity: over 10 hours. Sillage: enormous for the first two hours, then more moderate and in bursts. Occasions: semi-formal, night outs, outdoor events. 🍁❄️🌞🌛 100% unisex.
