  1. La esencia de la Victoria

From the very first spray, Black Jade is an elegant, mysterious caress. The opening unites the freshness of bergamot with the cardamom, a start that captivates without overwhelming. Then comes the floral heart where the rose and jasmine blend with warmth. The special thing is the harmony between the spices, the flowers, and an amber base of sandalwood and vanilla, all measured to the millimetre. It is refined without being cold, enveloping without being heavy. It has that subtle magnetism: it is noticeable, yet it does not shout. Wearing it is like putting on your best little black dress; you look more like yourself, more confident and radiant. Its trail is elegant and close, ideal for leaving a mark without imposing. It is versatile, sophisticated, and feminine, a second skin that becomes your personal signature. Every time I use it, I feel my presence sharpen and everything falls into place better.

From the very first spray, Black Jade is an elegant, mysterious caress. The opening blends the brightness of bergamot with a spiced touch of cardamom, a delicate start that captivates without overwhelming. It then moves into a floral heart where rose and jasmine merge with a soft warmth. What makes it unique is the perfect balance between the cardamom, the flowers, and an amber base of sandalwood and vanilla. It is refined without being cold, enveloping without being heavy. Black Jade is perfection; my first niche perfume. I discovered it through the legend, and as a lover of history, I felt I simply had to own it. But upon trying it, I realised it is so much more than that; I was enveloped by a spiced, slightly peppery cloud, followed by an immense warmth of rose and incense, an exquisite blend. I wore it for the first time at my son’s christening, and every time I smell it now, I relive that day. The scent blended beautifully with the church’s incense, creating unforgettable memories. Sincerely, it does not smell like I imagined Marie Antoinette would; it was a pleasant surprise. I expected something more floral, fresh, and feminine, but it is truly intense with an aura of mystery, something a man could also wear. Perhaps it is due to the occasion, but it transports me to a church where incense mingles with the luxurious perfumes of the ladies.

  5. Black Jade smells of rose with spices, feminine and contained. They say it was Marie Antoinette’s favourite (I doubt it is true; it sounds more like marketing). What I love most is the opening: fresh and spiced. The bergamot and smoky cardamom join the warmth of the cinnamon in a brutally attractive cold-warm game. Then comes the rose and the sweet dry-down of balms, incense, patchouli, and vanilla. It is a well-made, wearable, and intimate blend; although it lasts well, it projects very softly, which is a bit of a negative for me. Note: 7.5

  6. Black Jade is a spiced rose, feminine and contained. They say it was Marie Antoinette’s favourite, but I am not so convinced; it sounds more like a marketing tactic. What I like most is the opening: fresh and spiced, where the bergamot and smoky cardamom play against the warmth of the cinnamon, creating an impressive cold-warm contrast. The rose and the sweet dry-down of balms, incense, patchouli, and vanilla make it a well-crafted, wearable blend. It is intimate; although it lasts well, it projects very softly (for me, a slight negative). Rating: 7.5.
