Share what you noticed: opening, drydown, sillage and the moments when it works for you.
Smells nice, but it’s very basic. The downside is the trail is extremely short; I have to lean in to catch it, and it doesn’t reach the people next to me. You need to apply quite a bit for it to make an impression. I prefer ouds with extra notes. I’ll keep trying the rest of Montale’s oud line.
If I had to keep just one Montale, without a second thought, it would be this. Out of the 21 I own, this is the one that defines me 100%. There are no words for how it makes me feel: mysterious, unique, and one-of-a-kind. Never buy blind; it’s not for everyone. Advanced niche level, no hype or nonsense; this is for special noses.
