From nXn Perfumes, Tipsy Tarantula is an Oriental Vanilla scent for both men and women. It was introduced in 2022 and created by perfumer Nixon Dias.
Nashi pear, apple, almond blossom, cinnamon and saffron shape the opening. At its centre and in the drydown, amaretto and coconut meet tonka bean, amber, vanilla, leather and musk.
At first the impression is crisp and juicy. Nashi pear and apple bring orchard freshness, softened by almond blossom with its powdery floral quality.
Cinnamon and saffron lend immediate warmth. The spicing feels cosy and rounded, giving the fruit definition rather than sharpness.
The heart brings together amaretto, coconut, Hedione, nutmeg and raisin. The amaretto note characterises the phase with its almond-liqueur feel, coconut adds creaminess, raisin adds depth, and nutmeg provides aromatic structure.
Hedione introduces lightness. Its sheer, luminous floral effect stops the gourmand richness from sitting too heavy and smooths the path to the base.
Tonka bean, amber, vanilla, leather and musk form a warm, enfolding foundation. Vanilla and tonka sweeten, amber radiates, while leather with an animalic edge and musk lend contrast. The overall character stays sweet, fruity, floral and musky, with clear almond, amber, leather and cinnamon threads.
