About Le Smoking
Le Smoking by OBART: Evening Tailoring, Bottled
Le Smoking by OBART is a woody spicy creation for women and men. Launched in 2026, it carries the signature of perfumer Coralie Spicher.
Conceived with a tailor’s eye, it opens on lifted spice before deepening towards liquor, resin and well-pressed dry woods.
Elemi, ginger and nutmeg shape the opening. Elemi lends a bright resinous facet, ginger a crisp spark, nutmeg a gentler, creamy warmth beneath.
At the heart lie rum, incense and cypriol — nagarmotha. The rum note feels dark and liquorous rather than sweet, drawn out by a lean, contemplative incense.
Cypriol, earthy with a whisper of smoke, bridges that heart to the base. It keeps the passage tidy and gives the composition its slightly wild edge.
Cypress, cedar and vetiver form the foundation. Cypress suggests green conifer, cedar supplies a polished structure, vetiver a rooty, refined depth.
The overall arc runs from fresh-spiced and aromatic to balsamic, amberish and smoky. A traditional woody-spicy profile, worn close and cut with care rather than made for excess projection.
Made for devotees of dry woods, measured incense and vetiver. It should appeal to those who favour smart, tuxedo-like scents that work as readily by day as after dark.
Le Smoking lives up to its title: disciplined, elegant and quietly assured. Spicher’s hand shows in the poised balance of freshness, rum and green smoke.
