About Amber Radiance
Narcotica's Amber Radiance: A Luminous Take on Amber and Vanilla
Crafted by Mathilde Bijaoui for Narcotica, Amber Radiance arrived in 2026 as an Oriental Vanilla made for both women and men.
Rather than a dark, weighty oriental, it explores amber at its most luminous, moving from a zesty lift towards a soft, creamy warmth.
Lemon peel and rum open the composition. The citrus lends brightness with a faint bitter twist, and the rum follows with a mellow, liqueur-like glow.
The middle phase brings together amber and orange blossom. Here the scent turns paler and more floral, the blossom lending a fresh, almost soapy whiteness.
Madagascar vanilla, musk and ambergris form the foundation. Expect velvety vanilla sweetness, a powdery musky softness, and that brackish, faintly animal depth ambergris can give.
Overall the amber accord leads, supported by white floral, citrus and vanilla tones. Sweetness, musk, powder and rum weave through, with the animalic side kept deliberately sheer.
It feels best suited to late afternoon into night, when the cosy vanilla-musk base has room to breathe. Despite its warmth, the finish stays clean and well defined, favouring radiance over richness.
It should appeal to wearers who favour bright ambers and gentle vanillas, especially those who like orange blossom and a powdery musk drydown without excessive density.
All told, this is a neat, unisex Oriental Vanilla in Bijaoui's precise style, where rum and lemon illuminate amber and orange blossom before vanilla, musk and ambergris draw the scent to a calm close.
