About Café M
Café M: Roast Coffee Rounded with Vanilla and Resin
From Berlin house J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin, Café M arrives as a 2026 launch within the Oriental Vanilla group, created for women and men alike. The nose behind it is Véronique Nyberg.
Rather than a stark espresso, it offers a cosy interpretation: roast coffee with cacao and rum, gradually mellowed by vanilla, tonka and soft resins.
At the top, coffee meets cacao and rum. The bean lends a roasted edge, cacao contributes a dry, powdery quality, and rum supplies a liqueur-like warmth that smooths the first impression.
The middle accord of orchid, vanilla and tonka bean alters the feel. Orchid provides a delicate floral veil with a powdery nuance, vanilla introduces a lactonic sweetness, and tonka bean brings its familiar almond-toned softness.
The foundation rests on Amberwood and benzoin. Amberwood offers a woody, ambery structure, while benzoin adds a balsamic, faintly vanilla resin that extends the sweet finish.
The overall profile is vanilla-led, ambery and sweet with a clear cacao thread, touched by floral, warm-spiced and balsamic elements. Powdery and milky facets prevent the coffee from turning austere and keep the vanilla refined.
The development is gradual, opening with roasted lift before settling into a mellow, enveloping base. A gourmand-leaning composition, more creamy than dark, with quiet presence.
It should suit those who enjoy coffee, cacao and vanilla treated with finesse, and anyone after a comforting unisex scent for autumn and winter, slow afternoons and evenings out.
Café M reflects J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin’s taste for measured contrast: the bite of coffee yields to the gentleness of vanilla, tonka and benzoin. A well-judged 2026 addition to the Oriental Vanilla repertoire.
