Autumn 26: Ffern's Autumnal Herbal Fougère
Autumn 26 by Ffern is an aromatic fougère for women and men. Launched in 2026, it is the work of perfumer Elodie Durande.
Built around herbal lavender, it weaves green, woody and earthy tones with a gentle sweetness, where hay, orris and oakmoss shape the dry-down.
At the top, lavender meets fennel, coriander and Calabrian bergamot. The impression is bright and aromatic, the anisic coolness of fennel and the spice of coriander set against citrus bergamot.
The middle features immortelle, cypriol (nagarmotha), scented geranium, May rose, ho wood, scented broom and jasmine. This creates a textured green floral, honeyed in places and lightly woody.
Underneath lie violet leaves, hay, orris root, tonka bean, oakmoss, Siam benzoin and Virginia cedar. Hay and orris bring a powdered dryness, tonka and benzoin a soft balsamic roundness.
In accord terms it is herbal, woody, lavender-led, sweet, earthy and aromatic, with warm spicy, green, iris and fresh spicy undercurrents. The lavender is integrated rather than isolated.
A contemporary unisex fougère, Autumn 26 evokes the season through cured grass, timber and earth while retaining the crisp aromatic clarity of the genre.
It will suit those drawn to unisex fougeres of herbal and earthy character, with lavender, geranium, hay and orris, and a green-woody wear softened by a sweet balsamic foundation.
Autumn 26 offers an autumnal account of the fougère: aromatic at first, floral-green at heart, dry and comforting at the base. A well-judged seasonal creation from Elodie Durande.
