L'Bel 1200°C is a green aromatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2011, the nose behind this composition is Richard Herpin. The top notes are pine, juniper, and kaffir lime; the heart notes are cinnamon, brandy, incense, and nutmeg; and the base notes are amber, labdanum, Brazilian rosewood, amberwood, balsam of Peru, musk, and patchouli.

Starts with plenty of cinnamon and nutmeg. The pine leads into a heart of incense and brandy, while the amber closes with a leather finish, perhaps with labdanum and musk. Although the opening was promising, the projection dropped quickly and stayed skin-scent only for five or six hours. I made a mistake wearing it in the heat; it should be reserved for cold weather. It’s now discontinued in Mexico.
A perfect 10/10 in every way: it’s an affordable perfume that stands out, surpassing many designers. It’s unique, and although I’m on the second bottle, I can’t find anything similar. Being discontinued gives it an extra plus. It opens woody, spicy and resinous; after 2-3 hours, a subtle and pleasant leather note emerges that lasts until the end. It lasts 6-7 hours on the skin and over 12 on clothes.

Once, Lbel was an exclusive luxury, expensive and hard to find online, with a scent that didn’t give anything to Dior, perfect for cold nights. I remember an identical version with blue liquid and a silver cap, very sweet and fresh, in the style of Invictus, but fifteen years ago that kind of fragrance was no longer used. Today Lbel returns with better quality and at half the price it used to be.
