The ingredients aren’t the original ones; much of it is reconstructed and synthetic. The scent isn’t that of an 18th-century perfume, and it certainly doesn’t maintain its initial composition.

I even use it to sleep in because it’s super comforting and wakes me up. It doesn’t last long—the trail fades after an hour—but it’s an exquisite citrus cologne. It’s a family classic: my grandparents, father, uncles and godfather used it, and now I do too. You get compliments, especially from older people, because it’s not overpowering and gives a sense of cleanliness.
