Descripción

212 VIP Black Cab by Carolina Herrera is a fragrance from the men's olfactive family. This unprecedented creation is launched in 2026. Its olfactive pyramid unfolds with a vibrant opening of pineapple and absinthe, giving way to a sweet heart of caramel, to culminate in a woody and earthy base of patchouli.

  • 6/10. Smells nice, but it’s not what it seems. The opening is sweet with that pineapple and a dry herbal hint of absinthe that catches the eye. However, after 30 minutes it becomes more caramelised and creamy. In my opinion, it’s a copy of other existing perfumes, including the original 212. I almost bought it on the spot, but once it had dried down, it didn’t convince me.

Another perfume that adds nothing new; we’ve already smelled better and higher-quality scents. I don’t know what’s going on in perfumeries, treating us like fools by selling fragrances that serve no purpose. Moreover, the notes don’t match at all. A disappointing start to the year with everything they’ve launched so far.

  • It smells odd, not because of the bottle which is stunning. It opens with that masculine pineapple mixed with a very soft absinthe that is barely noticeable. The opening smells pleasant and catches the eye, but it’s not delightful. Then a tonka scent emerges, although they claim it’s caramel. The dry down is almost identical to a Zara cologne and becomes very cheap. I see it as a collector’s item because it’s limited, but it smells very strange. It doesn’t disgust me, but I’m not sure what I’ve tried.

  • You need to apply two sprays; it hits you with a sweet pineapple note immediately, then settles down into caramel. It’s tropical, but it smells like too much sugar for summer. The opening is curious and original, though the dry down is identical to 212 VIP Black. It starts unisex before leaning masculine. If the performance is good, it could replace the Black.
