I bought it yesterday and it has a powerful pineapple opening, an ideal fruity scent for warm climates and aimed at a young audience. For the price, an excellent purchase. I’d give it 8 out of 10.
Does anyone with the normal Bogoss from the pack with the Summer know how it performs for them? Mine smells like nothing since I opened it. Not even after a second does it smell; you have to press your nose right against it and it smells strange, as if the formula has been ruined. Does this happen to anyone else? I have 43 perfumes and this is the only one I’m complaining about. Thanks and looking forward to feedback.
As EGC 97 says, it literally lasts a minute. Not worth it.
Vibrant Leather Bogoss: Fruity opening of pineapple and lemon. Middle with pineapple accompanied by an interesting smoky note (not declared) and soft leather. Defined finish with aromatic pineapple, subtle smoke and a suede leather base. Projection and longevity: 5-6 hours, more than 8 hours at skin level. Fruity, smoky, aromatic and with notable leather. If you like sweet and smoky fruits, it’s for you. Not for summer, as the pineapple dominates and becomes invasive.
The ones in the pack last just enough for a trip to the gym and to say hello to the pretty instructors. After an hour, only a skin-level memory remains. I love the Summer, although it needs more longevity. I’ll wait to see if they ‘macerate’ something because you can tell the oils are concentrated. If you like the Summer, try the Benetton Cactus.
I bought the Bogoss fresh out of the box; the early batches perform quite well. I think even the presentation has changed.
The scent is very synthetic but I love it; I already wear it as my signature and it’s one of my favourites. Very fruity with that vibrant leather touch (like Creed Aventus). I only have good things to say.
I bought the pack with the Summer and within weeks the scents have changed. At first they seemed light, like cologne, and now they fill the room. The Bogoss dry-down seems totally masculine, while the Summer is more unisex. They are super summery, fresh and beachy scents, easy to wear and not feminine at all, although I love both together.
A rich fragrance from the start: begins with an intense lemon and evolves into a notable pineapple. Finishes with a fine, pleasant leather. Some say it doesn’t last long, but on my skin it reaches 6 to 7 hours. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 5/10, Projection: 4.5/10.
A fruit explosion with an absolutely brutal pineapple note; a beast of a performer and a true all-rounder. Buy without hesitation, 1000 points of recommendation.
Like spilling pineapple juice on your skin, only that the juice projects more. Boring and childish.
Pineapple in a bottle. My summer 2023 beach perfume and one I would buy again if I finished it, although I wouldn’t have much money left…
Pineapple and citrus projection with fruity and sweet tones. It holds up around you easily for one or two hours and about six hours close to the skin. Reapply at three to four hours to renew the impact. A couple of sprays upon reapplication is more than enough. I always use it as a base over the original Vibrant Leather and a few applications of Bogoss so it doesn’t become too cloying and makes it a bit more ‘mature’ without losing the piña colada touch. I don’t know if the durations for Bogoss alone would be the same; I understand they would be a bit less. This ‘layering’ works perfectly for me to soften the sweetness of Bogoss and enhance what remains in the dry down. Ideal for day and night in summer.
A very rich fragrance, special for smelling like a pineapple soda. To be more specific, in Chile it smells like a chilled, delicious Kem pineapple soda. I love it.
Wonderful pineapple projection; it makes you want to bathe in it. Pity the performance isn’t greater, otherwise it would be a masterpiece. But if perfumes costing £100 don’t offer performance, I won’t ask for it from one costing £20, which, at least, projects wonderfully for the time it lasts.
Disappointment. I bought it due to the hype and without testing it at Zara. A very flat fragrance with little depth. Literally smells like pineapple juice, which doesn’t convince me, although it might be worth it for a while. The main problem is the performance: it lasts about four hours on my skin, which is fair but doesn’t end there. The projection is completely non-existent; people don’t realise you’re wearing perfume. It’s cheap, but I don’t think it’s worth those £20.
Wanted pineapple? Here it is. I saw several Zara rankings and it appeared for a good reason. It’s like the Vibrant Leather but with a pineapple cocktail scent. Then it dries down and the leather appears. Lasts quite a while and projects strongly at the start. One of the best for under £30. Unless someone tells me there’s one under £80 that projects and lasts longer, this will be my signature pineapple scent.
Like opening a can of pineapple in syrup… It’s okay, but over time I feel it’s too youthful. I stick with the versatility of the regular VL, which is fresher and without that amber base.
A fruity, fresh summer aroma. Lasts five hours on skin (seven on clothes), projecting strongly for the first hour and a half until the fifth hour with a strong personal bubble. Moderate sillage for two hours, then soft until the fourth. No. Sprays: seven inside, more than ten outside. Reapply at four hours. Ideal for temperate to hot climates and casual daily wear. Unlike its sibling Bogoss Vibrant Leather Summer, which highlights watermelon for a more tropical and informal look, this one emphasises pineapple and becomes more versatile for various occasions. Be careful not to confuse it with an Aventus clone; the pineapple here is more prominent and sweet. Some criticise the performance, but given the price (around £20), in my opinion, it’s not that negative. We all want 10-12 hours, but it’s a £20 perfume from a catalogue house; it’s not bad. I’ve seen perfumes ten times more expensive with similar performance. For this ‘weak’ performance at an accessible price, go for it. Sincerely, between eight and ten sprays give a comfortable seven hours, but I recommend carrying a decant and reapplying at the fifth or sixth hour. Totally for daytime (or very hot nights at the beach/pool) in temperate to hot climates, and any informal outing or office (remember the decant). Is it the best in the world? No. Is it the worst? Neither. You just need to know how to find the ideal uses to get the most out of it.
Delicious fragrance; that pineapple scent embraces you from the very first spray. One of my favourites from Zara, perfect for hot days: it’s fruity, fresh, long-lasting, and has a moderate sillage.
I was surprised by its exquisite pineapple scent and a soft leather base that adds strength without overshadowing the fruit. It doesn’t have great longevity, so you’ll need to reapply occasionally if you want it to keep shining.
I’ve had it for months; it was my fourth perfume. I bought it via social media and initially loved it for work or summer outings; I was pleasantly surprised. On my uniform, it lasted days if I reapplied two sprays every other day. On skin, it didn’t go beyond 3–4 hours. The pineapple scent is excellent and really stands out. It’s sweet but not cloying. Both men and women asked about it, and it projected well indoors. Now, with more perfumes tested, I’ve given it second place and use it for the gym. It’s not bad—I like it—but I’ve encountered better developments; this one feels flat. The price is excellent, and I recommend it for everyday wear in the heat. About 7 sprays go a long way, and you’ll need to reapply every 4 hours.
A charming fragrance that grows on you. At first, it reminded me of XS Black but more subtle. Projection and longevity are minimal; you’ll need to carry a decant to boost it during the day. It’s versatile, youthful, and worth every penny. 7/10.
Pure and bold pineapple at the start, holding its own for the first two hours before the classic Aventus DNA appears. Decent longevity of around 4 hours. 7.5/10.
Sparkling and youthful, perfect for warm days and evenings. Very rich and ideal for everyday wear if you like pineapple; this is your fragrance.
Hello, I bought it after reading reviews and smelled it before purchasing. It offers good value for money. Lasts well on skin and even better on clothes, though the projection is soft indoors; you’ll need between 7 and 10 sprays depending on the situation and should reapply every 4 hours if it loses strength. It’s not particularly distinctive, but it makes you smell fresh, masculine, and put-together. Citrus notes with a slight hint of pineapple in syrup; for me, the citrus and fruity aspects stand out more. As it dries down, those citrus notes remain and give way to fruits and a rich summer scent. After two hours, woody and leather tones emerge, adding a masculine touch without being exclusively for men—a woman could wear it too. In summary, a very good option for the price and performance, versatile but more formal, not for sixteen-year-olds. It has decent longevity, but considering the price, there’s no need to spend much to find something good.
Pineapple dominates, leaving little room for citrus notes. It doesn’t last long—around 2–3 hours with a weak trail—but it’s pleasant. In intense heat, I’m not convinced because it becomes cloying and smells like concentrated juice. At €20, I don’t think it’s worth it, but at €26 in a pack with Bogoss Summer, if you like pineapple, yes, it is.
It doesn’t smell like natural pineapple or juice, but rather those famous pineapple gummies. Performance is unpredictable: sometimes it lasts 6–7 hours, other times it fades after just 4, and I’m not sure what variables make it so random. The truth is, it’s not consistent. Being budget-friendly, I don’t hold that against it; it’s casual, for between seasons, and a little cloying. In summer, day or night, it works well. In short, it’s a relaxed, modern fragrance and highly recommended.
Fresh and youthful at first, but the dry-down reveals a warm leather note that really makes a difference. Lasting power on skin is weak, though it lasts all day on clothes without any issues.
Pineapple is the star here, and most people will enjoy it. While it does feel a bit synthetic and lacks some charm, for the price it’s more than adequate and the longevity is decent.
It’s like smelling pineapple syrup, rich and very fresh. I don’t recommend buying blindly, because the pineapple scent can be very intense for some, at least I don’t smell the other notes much.
Of the fragrances that smell like juicy pineapple, the traditional Bogoss smells delicious. The problem is that it scents little, lasts little, and has little sillage; it’s a skin perfume. You have to apply a lot to create a personal bubble. But I love it to enjoy. I’ve had more compliments with the Bogoss Summer, though you won’t believe it, it has better projection, sillage, and longevity, and is liked more for its watermelon and pineapple salt touch. I have both.
I didn’t like it. It smells like Fuyí mosquito repellent to me, it’s exactly the same. It’s for warm climates, a unisex scent that tends towards masculine when dry, but a woman can wear it. The good thing is the quality-price ratio; on my skin, longevity and projection were good, it lasted eight hours with an hour and a half of sillage.
In short, it’s like squirting pineapple juice on yourself, in a good way. Pineapple and sweet bergamot from start to finish, with a touch of patchouli at the base, no leather. Smells great, the pity is that it lasts a breath… it’s fine for summer daytime, and since it’s cheap, it doesn’t hurt to reapply. Acceptable projection in its short life. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 2/10, Projection 4/10.
The best Zara perfume for me so far. It’s super juicy pineapple with moderate lemon and cedar at the base. In heat it doesn’t last long, but in spring and autumn it’s ideal. It’s not Hacivat, nor Cedrat Boisé, nor Qaed al Fursan, but it raises the level of that good pineapple. 10/10.
It doesn’t resemble Qaed Al Fursan; this Bogoss is fresher, with versatile pineapple, but it lasts nothing. In contrast, Qaed lasts a bit longer and its pineapple is sweet, sour, very citrusy and ripe, as if burnt caramel were added, according to my untrained nose. I prefer Bogoss for the scent, but not for the price, as it’s around $30 and expensive for very poor longevity.
The pineapple smell monopolises too much. It smells like the Malibu Piña Colada drink at the start. After two hours, the leather appears and I think it improves in shape and scent. It’s an outdoor summer cologne; it works well with humidity and sweat under the sun. It doesn’t leave much sillage, but for £12 I don’t expect more. Being so cheap, you can keep reapplying.
Meh, nothing to highlight the truth. Just lots of pineapple.
Hello, this is my first Zara perfume, and if you don’t want to spend much on smelling good, this is the option. Scent: lots of quality pineapple, not synthetic, but like a refreshing juice; I love it, it’s typical and easy to like. Longevity: decent, about 6 hours; it keeps the smell pleasant but could be better (7/10). Sillage: better than longevity, though still weak; it maintains a personal bubble throughout the life of the perfume, not explosive but noticeable (5/10). Age: under 35. Compliments: it won’t get many due to longevity or sillage, but if you wear it fresh or get close, smelling it will please you; it’s easy to understand and not common, so it catches attention. Climate: summer/heat only. Occasions: beach, enclosed spaces, hot day, office, informal.
The perfume opens with pineapple dominating the bergamot and lemon; you have to like this scent to avoid it becoming cloying. I agree with others that it smells like those Zuko juice pouches. Then the patchouli drops down to leather. I use it for casual outings, like going to the supermarket, as I see nothing novel compared to the Vibrant Leather line or Arab clones of Aventus. It serves its purpose as a summer fragrance, but I wouldn’t recommend it for extreme heat (over 34°C) because the pineapple and leather become sweet and can give you a headache. Would I buy it again? No, there are better options for this.
