Bought it for the notes, but it went wrong; it smells like bruised berries.
SCENT: GOOD, PROJECTILE: POOR, LONGEVITY: POOR, QUALITY: POOR, BLIND BUY: YES. IT’S BOTH EXPENSIVE AND CHEAP, BUT… 5.5/10. SMELLS VERY GOOD, BUT THE PERFORMANCE IS TERRIBLE. WORTH IT FOR DAILY ROTATION OR FOR AT HOME, GIVEN THE PRICE.
Medium longevity and sillage, very attractive price, and striking packaging. It’s a good perfume, but… In my opinion, it’s a clone of Xeryus Rouge. Frankly, it looks like a carbon copy, though this Fred Hayman version is cheaper and less potent. If you already own the Givenchy, it’s like buying a duplicate scent. At first, I thought it was my imagination, so I applied one on each wrist, and if they aren’t identical, they’re very similar. What I don’t understand, and sometimes makes me doubt, is the authenticity of the brand’s note descriptions; if you compare the notes of the two perfumes I’m discussing, they supposedly have nothing in common… little else to add.
