You can detect the DNA of 4711 in the background, which isn’t really my thing, but it’s a magnificent cologne. The 2020 Zitrone Remix is super citrusy, sweet yet acidic. Wow. It feels like I’m peeling or grating a lemon for a dessert. I was blown away and I’m going to buy the 2018 Remix with the orange note. After trying it, I understand why so many people are fans of these modernised versions of the classic German house 4711. I put it on and imagine myself on a cruise, in a spa, making mojitos, who knows. It’s a very realistic and delicious citrus aroma. It’s what I’ve learned in perfumery since I got interested, learning to love scents I didn’t enjoy before. The rose was one thing, then musks, and now my summer obsession is citrus. The trail is good and lasts about four hours on my skin. Note, it’s so refreshing that I use it happily and without restraint; reapplying is a pleasure. I’ve also used it for layering to boost the citrus and fresh side of other fragrances, and it works beautifully. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 6.5/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.

I love all these fragrances: they’re post-sex scents, perfect after a shower to get back into bed and cuddle. You smell feminine and clean without giving you a headache, a very subtle seduction.
