  What a strange name for a perfume… 51 Pour femme? Yes. Was it named so because the Roja boutique is on Burlington Arcade, number 51 in London? Everything has its reason. The opening: it is a vanilla/benzoin base with a very elegant and soft floral load (gardenia, lily, rose, lily root, nardos, orange blossom, jasmine, violet leaves) decorated with a raspberry note. It is sensual and very feminine, I would say. I tried it and liked it, but I think it would stand out more on a woman, and indeed it is to a woman’s taste. My mother loved it; it is linear and has good performance. Excellent for daytime wear when well put together. Is it mummyish? No. It feels like a real woman’s perfume, not a twenty-year-old girl’s. The raspberry gives it a playful tone, without being cloying or scandalous. Remember that it is Roja and refinement is its hallmark. If you are looking to debut in the luxury English brand, it is hard to overlook this fantastic option. Do not confuse it with the EDP; I am talking about the “parfum”. How to distinguish them? The parfums have Swarovski crystals on the cap, the EDPs have metal stoppers with facets that look like crystals but are just metal. 500 dollars? Yes, and they are worth it. Good perfume.

  This perfume transcends a simple ode to white flowers. Roja shines here, uniting the ingredients into an unbeatable composition for lovers of sweet florals: floral (gardenia, ylang and iris), vanilla, fruity (raspberry) and woody (sandalwood) in perfect balance. In my opinion, it is jovial, elegant and versatile. Ideal for the intermediate seasons. It is nothing cheap (neither the bottle price nor the scent impression).
