What a shame there aren’t more opinions on this fantastic fragrance. I purchased it after seeing the excellent ratings on YouTube, and as soon as I received it, I confirmed they were right. It’s fresh, with apple, bergamot, and orange peel very prominent, while the woody notes and underlying moss give it a welcoming touch, as if you’re in the middle of a rainy forest. It’s not one of those fresh, fruity, sparkling scents like God of Fire or Arabian Sky by Armaf; this is more sober, placing it between casual and formal. It smells brilliant, aiming for niche perfumery since it’s inspired by Greenley Parfums from Marly. It’s difficult to source in Mexico and runs around $100, but it’s worth the quality. So if you find it, I’d definitely recommend adding it to your collection; it truly is worth it.
What a pity there aren’t more reviews for this gem. I bought it based on the glowing YouTube reviews, and they’re spot on: it’s fresh, with apple, bergamot, and tangerine peel notes front and centre, backed by woody accords and moss that make it feel cosy, like a rainy forest. It’s not as sparkly as God of Fire or Arabian Sky; instead, it’s more sober, sitting somewhere between casual and formal. It smells incredible and aims for niche status, being inspired by Greenley Parfums from Marly. It’s hard to find in Mexico and costs around $100, but it’s worth every penny. If you come across it, go for it—it’s a safe bet.
I don’t have the PM version, but this French Avenue smells great and the quality is top; the price is fair at 1,100 pesos.
I don’t have the PM version, but this French Avenue smells absolutely delicious and the quality is top-notch. As for the price, I’d say it’s reasonable at 1,100 Mexican pesos.
I received it last week and the smell delighted me (without having tried the PDM one). Today I managed to get a decant of Greenley and was blown away, 99% similar… I really can’t find much difference, except the price, as this Aether is almost 6 times less ($50) than Greenley ($270).
Fragrance madness, very green opening with that apple and a touch of wood, then as time passes it smells more like tangerine and the fresh wood and moss note becomes much more prominent. My favourite part is when it’s been on the skin for 2-5 hours; that apple touch remains and it smells of fresh wood and moss. Given the price, I recommend it 100%.
Rarely does someone tell you what a fragrance smells like and it’s so easy to describe. This is, literally, turning an Appletiser-style soda into a perfume. 🍏🥂 Sour, sparkling and juicy green apple, ready to enjoy without complications. A fresh, fun aroma and perfect when you need something to give you an energy boost.
I don’t know if Greenley should drop to $100 or if Aether should rise to $100. WTF the level All Arabian is reaching.
Arrived today and smells delicious but doesn’t last at all. I notice it’s super weak, lacking strength… I’ve had to reapply several times. Hope it improves a bit with some maceration, although I don’t think it will improve much. Let’s see if I remember to update the review in a while and tell you how it goes.
It’s a very good scent, giving me the air of freshly cut grass along with the apple note. My only issue is that when I first used it, it didn’t have much sillage or longevity. I saw a reviewer mention that the first few weeks suffer the same, but over time it changed and started lasting longer with greater projection. I suppose it depends heavily on maceration, which I don’t like much.
Had to let it oxidise for nearly two months to see if it would improve, and the truth is yes: the first few days it didn’t last more than two hours, but now, after resting, it reaches nearly six hours. Pleasant and fresh aroma, opening with a very aloe-like green note. At times I feel it lacks a bit of ‘punch’. I’m not sure how similar it is to PDM Greenley, but it’s good for short uses seeking freshness; for other activities, I’d choose another option. I think French Avenue releases perfumes too hastily, as this one, like Liquid Brun, had to be set aside to seek improvement in performance.
I don’t know PDM Greenley, but Aether is fresh, citrusy and fruity. It feels slightly refreshing, as if there are undisclosed notes of pepper or mint, with a fresh woody base. It’s a non-exclusive aroma, bordering on generic and of regular quality, with a synthetic opening, but after 10 minutes it improves and balances out. Suitable for casual, youthful, daily wear. Longevity 5-6 hours, a good scent that needs boosting with oxidation (hope it improves). If you want something novel, of quality and long-lasting, this isn’t for you. I wouldn’t pay more than $30 for 100ml. Rating 6/10. Rich aroma but nothing extraordinary and it doesn’t turn my head.
I’ve been wearing it for two days and must say the scent is very good—generic yet different from what you usually smell around. Greenley must be a masterpiece; the downside is it doesn’t last long… It’s a real pleasure to apply 10–15 sprays of this because it revitalises, though I doubt this bottle will last me more than two months. It smells like wet grass while biting into a green apple on a rainy day. Imagine that scene and you’ll get the idea. PS: nobody mentions it, but the dry-down reveals quite a bit of green moss.
Been wearing it for two days and the scent is very good, generic yet different from what you smell out there. Greenley must be a gem; the bad part is that this one doesn’t last long… It’s a pleasure to apply 10-15 spritzes as it revitalises, and I doubt this bottle will last me more than two months. Smells like wet grass while biting into a green apple and it’s raining. Imagine that scene. PS: nobody mentions it, but when it dries, the green moss note is quite noticeable.
Received it today and without a doubt, it’s the worst-performing fragrance in my collection so far… Smells fantastic, green apple, citrus… Looks elegant, the atomiser is a spectacle, but the longevity is terribly poor… What a shame, I doubt maceration will change this much. If it were beast mode or more potent, I’d pay over €100 without hesitation.
To me, it smells strongly of Head & Shoulders green apple shampoo mixed with herbal soap and woody notes, perhaps more sophisticated. It gives a sensation of rain, maybe wet grass. The oakmoss is very present for a freshie like this; it reminds me of Hacivat’s moss. It’s good to know this DNA, as Greenley isn’t very affordable. In my case, I wouldn’t pay the 250–300 dollars Greenley costs for something that lasts less than 6–8 hours. So Aether isn’t bad at all for a few dollars, between 30 and 45; it seems like a good purchase. Although yes, I think macerating improves its performance providentially. Still, it gives you a very respectable 6 hours for a freshie; you can’t ask for more.
What a wonderful perfume! It’s not the typical fresh citrus; it’s a bright green apple that fills you with energy. So far, it lasts about 3.5 hours—I hope it lasts longer once it oxidises. So delicious.
What a wonderful fragrance! It’s not your typical fresh citrus; it’s a vibrant green apple that fills you with energy. So far, it lasts 3.5 hours on me, but I hope it lasts longer once it oxidises. What rich scents!
I’m not sure if it resembles the PDM it’s inspired by, but I do know it smells fantastic. It’s fresh with a rich woody aroma, ideal for everyday office wear without being intrusive. As an extrait, the performance is low: around 6 hours on the skin and perhaps 2 hours of projection if it reaches that point. It has been macerating for two months and improved from 4–5 to 6 hours. The solution is to decant and reapply, and you’re good to go.
I absolutely love it. I tried Greenley in-store and bought Aether a month later; from memory, they smell very similar. It’s well-fresh and rich. I haven’t worn it yet, but I’ll test its performance once it gets warmer.
It smells delicious; it’s about 90% similar to the Greenley from PDM but lasts nothing—around 30 minutes with almost zero projection. Even though I applied more than 15 sprays, I’ve never seen a perfume with such poor longevity, not even the Dolce & Gabbana ones 😂. My wife loved it, but I fell for the hype and wouldn’t recommend it solely due to the longevity.
Between French Avenue’s Aether and Fragrance World’s Midori, I prefer Midori. Although it doesn’t lack ingredient quality compared to Aether, it lasts longer. Ingredient quality: Aether. Greater longevity: Midori. Convenient price: Midori.
Smells delicious and is 90% similar to PDM’s Greenley, but it lasts absolutely nothing—only about 30 minutes. After that, it’s completely gone, even after more than 15 sprays. I’ve never encountered a fragrance with such poor longevity and projection, not even the Dolce & Gabbana ones which don’t last at all 😂. My wife loved it, but I fell for the hype. I wouldn’t recommend it because it simply doesn’t last.
On my skin, hydrated with Himalayan water brought in on private flights at midnight, on even days of every ninth month, and with a meticulously curated diet prepared by blind chefs from the Seychelles using exquisite raw materials, my pH already smells like a fragrance worthy of gold and diamond bottles. This smells like a walk in the clouds. Please.
I love it. It’s an uncommon fresh scent and, as expected, achieves a brutal resemblance to Greenley by PDM. I’m fortunate that, apart from giving me a different aroma to usual freshies, it lasts around six hours with 1.5 hours of projection. I suppose it has to do with my diet and hydration, just like my pH. No fear in spraying, after all, that’s what they’re for.
I tried it as a decant. The opening is super green; I’ve never tried Greenley, but once it dries down, it smells very much like Tommy Impact, quite woody. On my skin, it lasted only a few hours, around four or five.
The scent is incredible, a blend of clean notes with a very prominent green apple. The downside is that it lacks projection and longevity: it barely projects, smelling at best like a car’s radio, and vanishes after 30 minutes. If you try it on your skin and find it lasts with your pH, it’s 100% recommended because it smells delicious.
The scent is incredible, clean mixed with a very prominent green apple. The problem is it projects and lasts nothing: initially it leaves a trail, but after 30 minutes, it’s gone. If you try it on your skin and it lasts with your pH, it’s 100% recommended because it smells absolutely delicious.
Starts wonderfully when freshly applied and then reduces to insignificance in little time. It served its purpose to hype up Greenley, that is for sure.
Super realistic and crisp green apple with refreshing bergamot. It has a creamy, slightly talc-like base, very subtle, perhaps due to the amberwood. At all times it is clean, rich, and like a premium shower gel. It is a pleasure; it would be my favourite if not for the mediocre performance of only 2 to 3 hours. Projects well for the first two hours, then fades. Fresh, green, and good quality; pity about the longevity.
In the Dominican Republic, they use Pinol, a bathroom disinfectant that smells similar to this. Don’t buy it blindly in RD.

It is a rich scent that is liked, but something grew on me over time, perhaps the green note.
Smells too much like lawn.
A mature masculine scent, ideal for those over 35 on hot days or semi-formal occasions. It pays homage to PDM’s Greenley; my decant is 90% similar. Projection is good, with a strong trail for the first hour before settling to a moderate level. The woody dry down is delicious. Not for the young, who would not appreciate it.
Good fragrance for the price: soft, discreet, elegant, and masculine, ideal for casual wear. To me, it does not smell much of green apple, but rather something fresh and herbal. It is not intrusive, yet has a weak trail and lasts longer on clothes than projecting, making it intimate. Perfect for going out with friends in spring/summer. It improves with age (new batch arriving in 2025). I recommend it for the price if you seek something rich and sober, although it does not win me over completely.
Pleasant smell but feels cheap. Smells of ordinary citrus, as if rushed together, like street stall perfumes with lots of alcohol and little essence. There are better options with this profile.
French Avenue Aether is clarity and elegance without excess. It opens with fresh green apple and citrus notes that provide immediate energy without being harsh. It then balances into woody and aromatic nuances that bring serenity. Dry down is clean, featuring a musk and mossy wood base that is sophisticated and understated. It is modern, easy to wear, and perfect for warm climates or daily/formal use. Its sobriety is its greatest virtue.
Ideal for heat or evening wear; very versatile. Rating: 20/10.
