Descripción

Alien Hypersense by Mugler is a fragrance from the olfactive family for women. Launched in 2024, this olfactive composition was created by Dominique Ropion. In its top note, pear and green mandarin unfold an immediate freshness; the heart reveals the delicacy of Sambac jasmine and Indian jasmine; while the base settles on a warm and enveloping combination of cashmere, musk, Amberwood and pieces of driftwood.

  • Alien, Alien, Alien… what have they done to you? It begins with a typical modern perfumery sweet pear note, giving way to a classic yet super-decaffeinated jasmine, over a cashmere base that is less amber-heavy than the original. A pity, because solely for the bottle, I would have loved it. Don’t get me wrong… does it smell good? Absolutely. But I feel it adds nothing new; quite the opposite, it merely takes something away from the original. In short: in my opinion, a version extremely similar to Alien but sweeter and more inoffensive. If you like this scent, buy the original instead.

I tried it yesterday and here is my take: I detected its potent jasmine, stronger than in its sister Alien EDP. It is an interesting woody white floral that flirts with a fruity and striking opening. However, its dry down is bright, thanks to the mandarin and a touch of sweet pear. As it settles, it resembles the Alien EDP more. The longevity is quite good: around 7-8 hours on skin and much longer on fabric. The bottle is gorgeous 🩷; you must have this talisman in your collection, no ifs or buts.

  • I love it! It’s Alien in a tropical version. It looks so cheerful and summery. Added note: I’m fascinated by its older sister, but I don’t compare them. Alien is Alien, and this is Alien Hypersense. Each in its own league. This one is perhaps more youthful, fruity, and fresh; yet, it’s truly a marvel. I want it now.

  • I absolutely love it! It’s Alien with a tropical twist, super cheerful and summery. I adore its older sister, but I don’t compare them; Alien is Alien, and this is Alien Hypersense. Each in its own level. This one is more youthful, fruity and fresh, a real wonder. I want it now.

Smells much better than the original Goddess and Intense; it’s far more summery and intense.

An option for those who can’t handle the regular Alien. It resembles it closely but is a light/fresh version. For me, it’s not worth it.

  • It fades like a shooting star, but without the sparkle. What a disappointment, considering how beautiful the bottle is and how much I love the original Alien.

  • On my skin it fades like a shooting star… but without any sparkle. What a letdown, given how beautiful the bottle is and how much I love the classic Alien.

  • I bought it because they said it was the fruity version of Alien. I have to say I don’t feel it as fruity, but it is much softer than Alien (I owned it and sold it; too much jasmine for my taste). I liked this version much more; it makes it more bearable. However, it is very similar, so if you already have Alien, I don’t think it’s worth buying this.

  • darlenerock

It’s the lightest and sweetest version of the classic Alien. I find it lovely, but having the classic, it’s quite redundant to have both.

A sigh… It is so, so similar to the classic Alien, just with a lighter trail and significantly less longevity. You can detect the soft pear there and it is exquisite, but if you like Alien, buy the original straight away. Two months later, and even with days of heat, its longevity has improved. Still, I remain with the classic Alien 💜

A sigh… It is so, but so similar to the classic Alien, just with a lighter trail and much lower longevity. Somewhere you can perceive the soft pear, and it’s exquisite, but if you like Alien, buy the classic Alien directly. Two months later, and still with days of heat, its longevity has improved. Still, I remain with the classic Alien 💜.

  • DE-LI-RAN-TE: It opens with vanilla, powdery, and when it reaches the heart, the classic Alien begins to emerge; I can sense it differently at the same time. It feels slightly juicy with pear and a little sparkling touch of tangerine. To me, it has a hint of Libre but is muuuuch superior, much younger and more modern. It feels like a child of Poison Girl’s Libre and Libre in an extremely surpassed version. I don’t know what draws me to it from Poison Girl; I’d say it’s not the scent itself but a sensation, the addictive quality. I’m not sure, but it’s a beauty that projects well. In principle, I see it as quite versatile, perhaps too much considering its price. It is true that it has a hint of Zara’s VB, though not comparable, but there is a soapy note where they resemble each other. However, the other is so synthetic that it suffocates even when soft. To summarise: hypnotic, just as its second name suggests, and less Alien since it has an easy opening without that minty Mugler note which, on my nose, results in being very difficult.

  • I was given a complimentary sample; it’s not for me. Very soft, poor longevity, and that woody base typical of the Alien line, which personally I’m not attracted to.

  • Perfumadict

A little sweeter and cleaner, soapy, than the original, but it’s 95% the same. I already have the EDP, so this isn’t worth it for me.

  • Better than Alien or Angel? I didn’t even want to smell it because the shop assistant thought I had said that, but wow, I truly don’t regret that mistake. I feel like life was putting it right in front of my face. I would definitely buy it.

Alien Hypersense. I tried it a few months ago but had forgotten about it until yesterday when I saw a bottle in a perfumery and smelled it again. The opening is very similar to the original; that characteristic jasmine is very noticeable, though not as intense as in the EDP. It’s fresher and softer. Later, it transitions to a woodier, sweeter phase with a vanilla dry-down. Considering that Alien lasts forever and is a heavy scent, even though there isn’t much difference and this lasts less, I honestly like this version much more. It doesn’t feel so overwhelming and is very pleasant.

  • I tried this new Alien flanker. It looks nice and smells very similar to the original, but it’s noticeable that it doesn’t last as long, which is a bit odd from Mugler. It feels like they mixed Alien with Alien Goddess, as I can detect notes from both. Since I already own the original, there’s no point in buying this; they are too similar.

  • It’s nice but I can’t tolerate it, same with all the Aliens; luckily I swapped it for an Ángel.

Alien Hypersense – I tried it and here’s my take. Opening: The combination of pear and tangerine seemed juicy, sparkling and enchanting… but too volatile. It vanishes before you can fully enjoy it. Heart: The Sambac jasmine and Indian jasmine feel floral and clean, but add nothing new. It felt like a generic heart, like many commercial fragrances. Base: The cashmere, musk and amberwood base does manage to connect with the classic Alien signature. That warm, creamy and enveloping touch felt the most recognisable and enjoyable. ‘Drifting Woods’: Supposedly present… but more as a poetic device than anything else. A dry, slightly marine air is perceived, but it’s not the star. More sensory marketing than a real note. Bottle: Simply beautiful, futuristic as always. It’s a bonus that it’s refillable; it’s a desire object in itself. Spray: Weak point. It felt uncomfortable and imprecise, sprays poorly, wastes fragrance and ruins the experience a bit. Final verdict: A softer, more accessible and less invasive Alien… but also less memorable. If you love the original for its power and mystique, this might seem like ‘just another one’ to you. Ideal if you want something in the Alien line but lighter for everyday wear.

  • Disappointment after disappointment with Mugler. Their perfumes don’t last long on my skin, which is why I was recommended Ángel Nova and this Hypersense. The new Ángel Nova is fruity but doesn’t stay on and feels synthetic to me. Hypersense isn’t unpleasant, but I don’t love it and it doesn’t last either. In short, I’ve wasted a fortune on these, only to stick with Natura scents or the Lattafa Rave Now wonder, which lasts for ages and costs a fraction of what Mugler charges.

From the very first moment, I detect a very fruity opening, though jasmine notes soon emerge on my skin. That sparkling start makes me identify it as ideal for good weather. However, it is during the dry-down where it truly shines: the woody and musky notes relax the composition and transform it into a very comforting aroma. That said, it is not a discreet musk at all; it makes itself known from start to finish. Yet, even being intense, the result doesn’t feel heavy to me, but rather warm and pleasant. This is why I consider it very versatile, perfect for any occasion, even summer nights. Furthermore, it is one of the perfumes that leave the most trail on my skin, along with the other one I own from the brand, and something few achieve on my skin, another point in its favour.

  • Oh, I haven’t liked it much. It reminds me a lot of the original Alien; if you like that, you’ll like this. It shares some air with Good Girl, I’m not sure exactly what, but I know it’s not for me. It feels dark and woody, too much for me. I find it nocturnal and wintry. The Extrême version seemed more appealing to me, although it’s not entirely mine either.

  • Oh dear, I haven’t enjoyed it much; it reminds me strongly of the original Alien. If you like that, you’ll probably like this. It also shares similarities with Good Girl, though I can’t quite put my finger on what exactly, but I know it’s not for me. It’s dark and woody, far too much for my taste. I find it nocturnal and wintry. I thought the Extra Intense version was prettier, although it still wasn’t entirely to my liking.

People must be joking. I’m a champion oversprayer; I can wear fifteen sprays of La Vie Est Belle and still think it’s not enough. Normally, I layer two perfumes, applying around twenty-five to thirty sprays. The buzz this Alien gave me was enormous; I felt dizzy all day. It’s a spring-summer scent, and over-spraying it will knock you out. It’s a beast on clothes, projecting massively. It’s less potent than the original OG Alien, but it’s still incredibly powerful. I don’t detect the pear; I notice the citrus notes. It smells like Alien plus Paradoxe plus Libre; it’s sexy. The alienic jasmine and mandarin are the bomb, while the woods are the cherry on top, making the perfume rounder. People think they can judge a fragrance with just two sprays on their wrist. Following that practice, I wouldn’t have half my collection. Anyway, it suits me better; the less popular a perfume is, the more unique you smell. Absolutely heavy with ‘Mugler is no longer what it was’; everything new I own, whether Alien or Angel, lasts all day and projects for hours. Pff, what a nightmare with the repetitive comments.

  • The original Alien feels suffocating to me, far too intense. This version, however, is much more wearable. It remains noticeable and characterful without being overwhelming. If you like the Alien DNA but get headaches or find it heavy every time you wear it, this cleaner, soapy version might be your cup of tea.

  • Beautiful, ideal for autumn and winter: sweet but not cloying. I would buy it again; it has good longevity and elegance. It is feminine yet works unisex, and it is addictive. I love this flanker.

  • Jasmine, jasmine, jasmine! This note is delightful, wrapped in a touch of pear to prevent it from being overpowering. It is my favourite from the line; Alien OG smells like something familiar, similar to other brands. It lasts a very long time on skin and clothes, but without much sillage, which is fine: it leaves no trace in your wake, but lingers on those who greet you. It is versatile, perfect for the office or going out for dinner, though I doubt it for hot days.
