Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche Eau de Parfum is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2014, this composition features an olfactory pyramid that begins with top notes of lemon and bergamot; develops into a heart of sandalwood and woody nuances; and settles on a base of Madagascar vanilla and vetiver.

  • I don’t know what kind of lemon foot Fragrantica users and old YouTube hands eat; I love lemon cakes and have never eaten one that smells of sandalwood and vetiver, which are very present in this perfume. Not so gourmand nor so daytime as Dior Homme Cologne. Those notes give it a more elegant and mature facet; the first thing I thought of was my childhood New Year’s parties or Bleu de Chanel. Perfect for day and night, very versatile. Edit: Totally unisex!

  • Without a doubt, I like it more than EAU Extreme because the tonka bean makes a better team with the citrus and vanilla than with the mint in the Extreme. It feels a bit more peculiar. Acceptable duration, feels more masculine than unisex and is for cold climates due to the sweetness of the tonka and vanilla. 8.5/10.

  • This is another level, completely different from anything I’ve worn. What a gem! It’s my first Chanel and it has left me speechless. It’s an oriental that doesn’t look like one, wrapped in a creamy lemon, with sparkling spices and high-quality vanilla. The vetiver and sandalwood are there to prevent it from seeming feminine. It conveys energy, good vibes and happiness. It leaves my favourite lemon perfumes like the floor cleaner in the dust. It makes Dior Homme Sport look like Axe and Versace Pour Homme like fabric softener. Only Prada L’Homme L’Eau could resist a couple of attacks, but it would lose. It’s so distinctive that it generates memories on its own. The performance isn’t beastly but neither is it ridiculous: it lasts 6-7 hours on skin, projecting for the first two. Those who say it should last longer due to the price ignore that quality shines here. I see it as more spring or autumn than summer; it will surely attract insects. It’s impossible to beat.

  • Hello community, I’ll tell you that I acquired this fragrance and the scent is very special and noble. It opens with a slightly acidic lemon, then turns sweet, and after 15-20 minutes the woody vetiver appears, accompanied by vanilla. It’s a clean, noble and elegant aroma. There’s nothing wrong with the scent, but the performance is very scarce: it projects for an hour and on skin it doesn’t exceed two or three hours, ideal only in temperate climates. It’s already been reformulated and is no longer a novelty. The community says it smells good but doesn’t mention the poor performance, which is strange. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want to be noticed on a long journey; it won’t project anything and won’t last long on skin. Perhaps they’re embarrassed to say it because they spent a lot on Chanel, but they’re not being frank. If you buy, get the small one to test the aroma; I don’t recommend the large ones due to the cost and poor performance.

Allure Édition Blanche EDP is one of my all-time favourites for summer, but it doesn’t justify that price tag given how little it projects. It smells like a lemon foot, has a masculine and youthful aura (if you’re noticed), but you have to abuse the atomiser to be noticed. They say the niche alternative Frapin L’Humaniste is worse, with natural notes but more expensive and short-lived. Although I criticise the price-to-performance ratio heavily, I wouldn’t mind if it lasted at least eight hours. Chanel tends to make their new fragrances less dense in record time; it seems you have to buy several bottles at launch to avoid ruining them too soon.

  • As others say, the quality is great, but the skin longevity is a passion-killer; applying it to clothes is almost mandatory for it to last longer. An alternative that plays in the same position is Mancera’s Lime Line: it lasts infinitely longer than the Blanche EDP, although it lacks that nobility.

  • I tried it again in Mexico in 2021. It opens with a delicious sugared and woody lemon, but after thirty minutes it drops to skin-level and lasts barely two and a half hours. I do not understand what they are doing with the new batches; they are ruining them. I have tried others like Platinum Égoïste and Antaeus that suffer similarly, though less so. I doubt Chanel is selling me a recent batch.

This is one of the finest variations of Chanel Allure Homme. It smells of a well-made lemon tart, perfect for spring and summer: delicious, creamy, and very pleasant.

  • Allure Homme Édition Blanche EDP brings nothing new, yet it works very well. It is not groundbreaking, but it has a captivating aroma and is a safe bet. It smells like a perfect blend of lemon, sandalwood, and vanilla: a citrus opening that is velvety, evolving into a creaminess without being sweet. It is an intoxicating melody where every note shines. The soft vanilla adds warmth without overpowering the citrus. It has no gender or age boundaries; it is for everyone. It is a daytime animal, luminous and delicate. I recommend it for spring and summer with moderate temperatures; if it is very hot, it will eat you alive. It leaves a pleasant trail. Everyone likes it, although experts might overlook it. Its Achilles’ heel is the price: it does not justify the cost, as there are cheaper options that come very close. It is excellent for the office (clean and safe) and for dates (warm and charming). Good construction, but an unjustified price.

  • BassoProfumo

In my opinion, this is an exceptional vetiver: complex, delicate, and possessing a softness I have not encountered in other such refined scents. However, its projection is rather weak; therefore, despite the incredible scent itself, I do not consider it a good perfume because no one will notice it.

  • Gian Arévalo

The opening is exquisite, rich, and captivating; it will make you buy it instantly. But… the dry-down is identical to Natura’s Paz e Humor; both behave the same on skin, and if you don’t notice it, it’s either your nose needs more development or you only know designer fragrances. You can buy the Paz e Humor which is cheap and then go to a department store to have it applied to you, and you’ll realise. I have both and the difference is that the Allure has more projection and lasts longer.

  • Konigperfumen_cl

What a rich perfume, that creamy and slightly sweet lemon in just the right measure, with a delightful opening… special for summer, so far it’s my number one for summer 2022. I wore it to a civil wedding as a witness and what a charm. It’s versatile for heat, the office, formal events, family meals, etc. On me, it has quite good longevity and projection; this EDP didn’t fall behind as they say, it’s revitalising and gives you energy. It pleases 99% of people. Try it in summer with the heat; its magic is incredible. It also works in hot springs, during the day and night. Spectacular perfume, forgive me for repeating, but this and its brother Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme are a sure weapon for seduction and charm. Projection: 6, Longevity: 7, Scent: 9, Overall Note: 8.

  • Black_Sheep

Today a friend who sells perfumes had this one to sell and I didn’t expect much given the listed notes. I thought it would be a common little lemon, but when we tested it, since he didn’t know it either, we were both impressed. What a wonderful and well-made thing, a totally addictive scent that became one of my favourites. If you have the opportunity to try it, don’t hesitate; the dry-down is a marvel.

  • Allure Homme Edition Blanche EDP is citrusy, creamy, and woody. It has one of the best citrus openings I’ve heard, smelling of a very realistic lemon zest, but it fades quickly and becomes avo-ly and creamy, perhaps that’s why people recall desserts like lemon tart. The scent remains pleasant, but it stays very close to the skin, only noticeable when someone approaches or on clothes. It could be daily, signature, or for casual and formal situations, but mainly daytime due to the energetic vibe. Longevity is around 6 hours, but very close to the skin. I definitely don’t recommend buying blindly; I’ve tested it several times and although I love the scent, it has always had poor performance with me, which is a shame.

  • ivanroldanog

Very rich, suitable for daily wear, perfect for Netflix and chill, works in the office, and is a good ‘I don’t know what to wear’ option. Citrusy, creamy, soft… so soft that unfortunately it affects its performance. Obviously, if you find a crazy bargain, go for it; there’s no loser under this condition. Hard to get at a good price, so… it’s not the best purchase if you want people to notice you, but it is for making a woman who enters your personal space remember how good you smell. Projects for 45 minutes and lasts 5 hours on skin. Batch 5907 from 2020 came with a defective cap, which only comes off with your fingers.

  • PezDeCiudad

I’ve spent years looking for something similar that costs less (Chanel are always so expensive and the value for money on many is…) and I haven’t found it. I never understood the simplistic comparison of ‘lemon tart’, as I see it as much more complex, elegant, and rich than a simple avo-lime. From the old EDT, which was more explosive, to this EDP, it’s a glorious scent, impossible to dislike. More than once people have asked me about it (with the EDT it happened more due to the projection). The day they release something similar at a lower price, I’ll be the first to buy it; meanwhile, I’ll continue to fork out to keep this in my wardrobe and have another as a backup.

  • Alexis Bm

Citrus and creamy aroma, a very natural lemon that anyone who smells it will like. The problem? With its difficult performance, they might not notice it. I wear it above 30 degrees; it’s super versatile and one of the best scents I’ve tried. Chanel couldn’t have done a better job with this aroma. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 8/10, Projection: 7/10, Price: 7/10, Overall Score: 8. If you have spare cash and want to smell exquisite, go for it.

  • It’s curious that people comment on the performance because I have two old bottles, both of this and the original Allure Homme Sport (2014-2016), and both are absolute beasts. With 5 sprays, I last all day, especially this Blanche which is denser and wears me out by midday. I don’t know if it’s due to the IFR or greed, but Chanel hasn’t been bought by any monopoly yet, and it’s a pity to hear that. All their perfumes are very good, balanced, easy yet characterful, with quality that sets them apart from designer shelves. It’s no surprise Armaf is thriving, but that’s another matter.

  • The opening smells like a lemon tart: rich, citrusy, creamy, and even mineral; I love it. However, the dry-down feels very powdery to me; the citrus fades leaving behind wood and vanilla. It’s not unpleasant, but I wouldn’t buy it because there are other options. And let’s talk about performance: 6-7 hours on skin, which is a bit weak for an EDP. It must have been brutal in its beginnings, unlike today.

  • I remember going absolutely mad testing this casually on a blotter; that avo-lime scent blew my mind and I knew there was no other option but to buy it. The opening recalls Bleu EDT: lemon, bergamot, and pink pepper, very much in the Jacques Polge style. Then a shy vanilla emerges as the lemon becomes juicy, as if you’ve just picked a fruit from the tree. In the mid-stage, that sweet lemon with an avo tint makes it refined and unisex, but for me, it’s predominantly masculine. By the end, after 5 hours, it turns creamy, almost milky, with sandalwood dominating and smelling of ‘lemon yoghurt’. It’s a masterpiece. The performance is quirky: with 5 or 7 sprays, I can smell it for 2 hours, then by the third hour it seems to fade, yet people still catch the scent. After 7 hours, there’s still a trail. It lasts between 7 and 10 hours. A masterpiece, period.

  • One of the richest perfumes I have ever smelled in my life, exquisite, but with lamentable performance. Between six and seven hours: excluding the first hour where it projects moderately, it goes to skin scent very quickly. I have given it many chances because it is one of my favourites; it would be a marvel if everyone could delight in this scent, which does not happen. A pity, especially with Chanel’s prices. Coincidentally, most perfumes I have tried have disappointed me in terms of performance.

  • Hocicosensible

Second review. It is curious what happens to me with this fragrance. I wrote it off due to its laughable longevity, which annoyed me. It is so good and expensive yet lasts nothing. However, the last few times it has lasted ten hours on skin (two hours projecting moderately, then skin scent, but on clothes there are bursts until four o’clock). I do not know if the testers are macerated or if the new batches work better. If so, I would buy it because the scent is exquisite.

  • It is not hatred; I am simply sharing my experience: it is a little lemon and vanilla from start to finish. Forget it and go for the classic original Allure Homme EDT instead. It is even cheaper.

  • daniel otal

The opening is an energetic citrus, like refined lemon peel essential oil with bergamot; with over-application it can be irritating. The good part arrives after 30–40 minutes: an exquisite, addictive, and creamy sweetness, nothing cloying. The vanilla creates a sexy complex with the citrus, the kind you don’t want to part with your wrist. It is noticeable on clothes even after washing. Ideal for the office or outdoors, even for formal dates outside of winter. It is not for the gym. The longevity has been good for me; it projects from moderate to quite a bit with five sprays. It performs exceptionally well at 20°C and has generated many compliments. A beautiful bottle that reflects that creaminess.

  • This is one of the fragrances I tried without expectations, but it is one of the best I have ever smelled. It is like a meringue or lemon foot: citrusy but slightly creamy, without being heavy. As it dries, it reminds me of laundry or freshly ironed clothes. The price hurts. Update: I have worn it to work for half a month and it lasts between eight and ten hours. It is not a ‘beast mode’, but it is soft, easy to like, and performs well in summer.

  • Chanel set out to ruin their perfumes, and this one could not be less. A pity. First, they discontinued the EDT Concentrée, which smelled better: creamier, richer vanilla, natural lemon, and it lasted eight hours. Then they released an EDP that behaves like an eau de cologne at an exorbitant price. If it lasts three hours, you should be grateful. Those who claim it lasts more than five hours are lying or smelling the old version. The current dry-down is pure vetiver, like Encre Noire Sport. I do not recommend it today.

  • A love-hate relationship with this fragrance. It smells beautiful and evolves well. They say it is just lemon and vanilla, but that is a lie. The downside: the longevity of the 2023 batch is well below the average for an EDP. The sillage lasts, generously speaking, one hour. I hope it improves with maceration, because it is a tragedy to pay Chanel prices for a body mist.

  • January 2024 batch. Smells of lemon with very creamy vanilla, but the longevity and sillage do not justify the price (€133 for 150ml). I regret this purchase immensely. After 1.5 hours, it’s barely noticeable. Furthermore, it smells like a parallel path to Armaf’s CDNIM, except this one lacks the smoky touch. The Armaf’s performance is infinitely superior.

  • Leduardohr

For the sake of solidarity, let me say this: test Chanel on your skin before buying. The current performance is atrocious. On me, without over-applying, it reaches my nose by night. It’s not invasive, it’s intimate and energising. It’s creamy citrus with a subtle sweetness. It’s not for turning heads. To those who say it lasts more than five hours, they are lying or have a serious problem with their vocabulary. Do not buy Chanel if you are looking for a ‘beast mode’.

  • I thought the claims about its longevity were an exaggeration until I tried it. It smells citrusy at first, but on my skin it fades to nothing in at most 10 minutes. I had to press my nose right against my arm to catch the vanilla base, and by evening there was no trace left. A complete joke for an EDP at that price; I’ve used body mists that last longer.

  • RicardoPowa123

Very rich. Very versatile and unique. Smells like sugared lemon. Ideal for summer (I don’t rule it out for whenever YOU want!)… EXAMPLE: I collect party perfumes and for my next party I’ll be wearing this 🤙 (party, lockdown, heat… what’s better?). Let me tell you something: stop repeating what YouTube says! Chanel is good and its fragrances last normally, just like all brands. They last the same as any other perfume… all last between 4 and 7 hours, that’s normal! It lasts the same as any other perfume.

  • DannyAngel

I’ve had it for 10 years and the bottle lasted 2 years; out of nostalgia and because I loved it so much, I wanted to get it again… I went to the store, two sprays on my arm, and wow, there it is, exactly as I remembered (I wore it during two autumns), intact to my nose, with no apparent reformulation. My favourites are zesty citrus notes and this one seems very special and unique, one of the few focused on lemon but at the same time sweet and creamy, something not so common. After 15 minutes, the trail started to fade; I tried to convince myself it was normal as it entered the dry-down phase and volatility decreased, at 30 minutes only residual scent remained, at skin level, as if I’d been wearing the perfume for 8 hours, which wasn’t the case before. At 45 minutes, the trail was practically non-existent. The bottle from 10 years ago was 150ml… I remember the performance very well. Perhaps they didn’t reformulate ingredients but the performance did; it was never a beast mode, I recall it had standard performance leaning towards low, but the high quality of ingredients and composition compensated for it. After an hour, on skin it’s practically gone, perhaps it lasts a little longer on clothes, but I think paying $200 (price in Mexico) is too much for an ultra-light eau de cologne. It’s not my nose; I gave it to friends and they perceived the same thing; moreover, I tried other Chanaels and although all show reformulation that equates them in (terrible) performance, this Blanche fared very poorly. Invest in something else. Is it extremely high demand? Increased ingredient prices? Ingredient bans for health reasons? Perhaps all are responsible for such mediocre formulas. And perhaps the main fault lies with us (excessive demand).

  • I find it very rich; it has a refined and elegant citrus note, unlike Allure Homme Sport, which is more of a casual wear citrus. I don’t see it as much for daily wear (due to its price and relatively low performance), but it’s exquisite for a date in the heat where you want to appear fresh yet very classy.

  • I bought it despite the reviews regarding its performance. It’s exquisite, a true lemon tart at the start, very well executed, but after just over an hour it smells very poor, with power dropping to 10%. What a pity that such an expensive perfume has little to no projection and longevity. I consulted with colleagues in a closed office; it’s only noticeable if sprayed at that moment and very close to the skin. I wouldn’t invest here again, but I’d like to know what alternative offers better performance and projection; I hope someone has found it.

  • SebastianC2702

Batch 2022. Rich perfume, you can detect lemon, sandalwood (very subtle), and vanilla. When it dries, I sense a reminiscence of Le Beau by JPG, not identical but a similar sweetness without coconut… it seems like the same vanilla, I’m not an expert but they resemble each other 🤔. The creaminess drops significantly compared to Allure Eau Extreme (which discourages me, giving it a more masculine touch). Longevity is quite poor, around 4 hours, with projection lasting about 45 minutes and staying within a metre. I don’t recommend it sincerely, perhaps only for closed social events at home, like a family dinner on a summer night; then yes. For daily wear, no one notices it. I prefer the Eau Extreme version; it projects more, is less sweet, and more masculine.

  • Hello everyone. Reviewing this wonder. After nearly two years of use, it’s extraordinary and I recommend buying it despite certain points. The good: enchanting scent, unconventional, refined to the point of seeming expensive with a simple profile. An almost perfect blend of sweet and fresh, with an ideal balance between effervescent citrus and vanilla creaminess that enriches the sandalwood base, giving it a masculine touch (not as unisex as they say). Very versatile, from casual to semi-formal. Works in warm climates without being overpowering and in cold ones without losing its sparkle. I receive many compliments without intending to. In my case, it’s one of the best (only surpassed by Y EDP) for hot nights; it’s striking and charming. The least good: performance. Longevity is approximately 7–8 hours if you’re generous with sprays. Sillage is good for the first 2 hours, then it becomes very close, suitable only for personal use. The bad: the price. Chanel charges an exorbitant amount; at that price range, there are niche options that would make you hesitate to buy unless on sale. In summary, it’s enchanting and never fails. Recommended for those seeking this or starting out in perfumery; otherwise, opt for more sophisticated choices if your budget allows. Extra: it has sentimental value; I lived the happiest day of my life on 15-06-2024 watching Atlético Bucaramanga win the Colombian football title for the first time; it reminds me of that day every time I wear it, another reason it should never be out of stock.

  • Franco Palmisano

The Alien33 review is the best, most comprehensive, and sincere one about this Chanel fragrance. For hot weather, it’s among the most pleasant, alongside Dior Homme Cologne. Both are citrus with a sweet base, very wearable compared to the sharp and exhausting ones we’re used to. What a pity regarding performance: projection lasts about an hour and skin longevity is 5–6 hours, perhaps up to 7 if it lands on clothes. For indoor daily wear, it’s superb.
